having read ray franz's " crisis of conscience " 3 years ago -before i read steve hassan's 2 books on mind control - my wife and i thought it would be good to re-read ray's " crisis " book again now that we know more about the workings of " cult mind control".

we just finished chapter 2 and i noticed striking similarities i thought i would share.. notice this quote in " crisis of conscience " on pg.

28 & 29 by franz , " thus numerous factors that are relatively common knowledge in many religious organizations are known only vaguely , if at all, by the vast majority of jehovah's witnesses.

Is Steve Hassan's book also translated into 
Spanish? Do you think it would be worthwhile
to suggest a Spanish translation of this and 
other important books for JWs, considering
most of the growth these days is in Spanish
speaking congregations.

Wonderful quality RePrints of Watchtower books and Publications

there are a great many reasons it becomes difficult to "prove" to active jw's that the watchtower society has had an amazing series of crackpot teachings, beliefs and assertions over the years.. first off, the availability of old publications is problematic.

the society has cleverly sucked them out of the libraries of local kingdom halls.

older collectors are often dead or apostate.. ebay can provide steep asking-prices.. but--a few years back, i discovered the availability of reprints in quality self-published form on lulu.com and amazon.. these reprints are beautifully done and easier to read than an old, moth-eaten, mildew-stained yellowy tome from the early era!.

Of course this is a big lie.

But the fact that they sent a letter giving this advice means they may

not be legally responsible for some DF'ing decision made

by some BOE in Podunk Congregation some place.

Would someone who was inactive and had doubts,

voiced them, would they be extended repentance?

You betcha they wouldn't.

If you are inactive and want to come back to the Borganization,

ask forgiveness for any wrongdoing from God, not from some group of men.

Circuit Overseers

some circuit overseers leave lasting impressions either for good or bad.

others i barely remember.

three that had the most impact on me were rodricks (that's how it's pronounced, not sure of the spelling), casino and shepherd.

Welcome! I think that Rodricks (or however it's spelled) is or was recently a DO in the Northeastern U.S.

Yeah, past CO. He ended up in Massachussets as DO. Natick Assembly Hall.

His real name is Rodrigues, it's a Portuguese name but he likes to hide that fact.

He prefers an Anglo pronunciation of Rodricks. He's the one that got me to be

conscious. (If I can borrow the illustration often used on this forum about 'the

conscious class'). He's a real company man and loves politicking. He likes perks

and depends on many a well to do brother for 'perks' for him and his wife.

BTW he's one to ask about pedo-cases and Society's keeping stumm.

i need HELP debunking the HOLY SPIRIT

i have a family jw friend spending two nights a week at my place, because of school... last night we had a discussion regarding my fading and i should come back, talk.

we covered many topics.

but i need to get him on that the holy spirit is not only in the jw just because they preach allot.. can anyone help.
