JW TV is the reason for the hysteria in the KH
by campaign of hate inif you, like me, have noticed the sudden increase in hysteria in the khs right now, i put it down to that jw tv site.
its's far more extensive than i thought it was, i thought it was just 1, 1 hour program a month.
there's a s*** load of videos on that site.. and the real problem, from just watching a clip from each video, is that these guys are clearly "mentally unstable".

I'm sure that the Legal Dept. has a tight rein on these GB celebs. Everything they say on video is probably combed over by several people an rehearsed over and over before filming, then taped over and over before approval for "air time"/"cloud time". If there's something where you hear the Legal Dept. getting the slap down then maybe then there'll be reason to expect some weirder behaviors popping from the GB cabal. -

New WTS end date - 2034?
by campaign of hate inso i already made an introductory thread where i said hello and mentioned my feelings toward 2034 being the wts new end date.. we get the year 2034 from matt 24:37 & luke 17:26. the wt commented on the "days of noah" in a qfr article 2010 12/15.
where its stated: "it is logical, therefore, to conclude that genesis 6:3 expresses gods resolve to end the corrupt system of things on earth.
jehovah issued a judicial decree to do so in 120 years, though noah was not yet aware of that.

Some evangelists who look to Israel becoming a nation as a sign, also see 2034 as the beginning of the third day since Jesus death and resurrection in 33 CE.
Each day being a thousand years, 2034 is the beginning of the third millennium.

In time, Raymond Franz was assigned as branch servant to the Dominican Republic, he served there during the time of tanks in the streets and bullets pinging off buildings in the capital city. After Bro. R. Franz left the Dominican Republic to go to NY a brother and sister, Gilead couple, Vincent and Judy Irizarry were assigned there and continued the Branch work in the midst of a lot of turmoil. This couple who now lives in North Central Massachussetts isn't even mentioned in the yearbooks, yet it was people like them who continued steadfast in their assignments when the military situation got nasty. They can tell about how it really was in the Dominican Republic of those days.
But the 2015 mentions WT President Knorr and Freddy Franz visiting and giving talks (when it was safe), as if this was the reason for the increase. The WT HQ wasn't responsible for any increase, it was those who put their necks out during the time of military turmoil, and went through the hardship of those uncertain days that were brave enough to stay where they were assigned to preach.

The 2015 yearbook (yb) neglects to add what the 1972 yb shows clearly. Raymond Franz went personally to appear before Dictator Trujillo to petition a lifting of the ban on JW's in the Dominican Republic. The 2015 says only that a formal, notarized letter was "delivered" to Trujillo. It makes no mention of Ray F., nor does it say who the letter was actually from... Knorr, not a "governing body". Raymond Franz's visit was the key in getting the ban lifted for a while.
Here's the story from the 1972 yb.
Raymond Franz, a missionary in Puerto Rico, was now asked to deliver a petition personally to Dictator Trujillo, asking for the removal of the ban. Making contact with the brothers, he was advised that the best way to get in to see Trujillo was to send a telegram requesting an interview. “Respectfully request privilege of brief interview with Your Excellency. An American educator on 7,000-mile tour. Have information of great importance for you and your country.” This was the text of the telegram sent and here is Brother Franz’ account of what happened:
“The following day a telephone message at the hotel advised me to be at the National Palace at eight o’clock the next morning. That morning I went to the Palace gates and, after having to wait while the band played the National Anthem, with all the government personnel standing on the Palace’s many balconies, I was allowed to go past the sentry box at the gate, up the many broad steps into the Palace.
“After being placed in different sitting rooms by myself over a period of nearly an hour, and then being conversed with briefly by a Dominican general, I was led down a hallway, through a room where four officers stood, then motioned to pass through a fairly narrow passageway opening into a large room. Only on reaching the large room did I see the dictator standing to one side by a large desk. I had hardly expected to reach him so easily.
“After exchanging greetings and making a few favorable comments on the country, I explained in Spanish my mission: to represent an international organization as its emissary to present him a petition. First giving him a letter of introduction, I then handed over the petition. Trujillo had said nothing after the initial greeting, giving the impression of being nervous due to not knowing what to expect. He began reading the petition but soon stopped and simply looked at me. I then told him that it was the wish of our Society to convey to him our regret that ours should be the only religious organization to come under ban in his land and that Jehovah’s witnesses were known world wide as peaceful, respectful, hardworking citizens. This was the first time the name ‘Jehovah’s witnesses’ had been used and evidently he had not seen the name as yet on the petition. He now ‘exploded,’ saying that the Witnesses refused military service, nor would they salute the national emblem. I pointed out that the petition explained why, and that no political motives were involved, solely matters of religion and conscience. After a few more brief exchanges, he stood up, indicating that the interview was closed. To my surprise he extended his hand. I shook it, assured him of my willingness to answer any questions he might have after reading the petition, and left.” -

Why the Clean out of top Management
by Poztate init has been commented here that "soon" the do's will be history.
the co level will be "retired" at age 70 and the latest development was that the cobe can not serve after age 80. it would seem that there is a "cull" of top management.
in secular companys that would signal a radical change of directions ???.

People in their 70's and 80's aren't known for their stamina and mental prowess.
The WT needs folks who aren't settled in their ways and are willing to mold with the new changes coming from Bethel HQ.
The older folks in full-time service to the "Order" are covered by WT health self-insurance. Therefore by getting rid of DO's and older CO's there's an immediate cut in expenditures for these folks to get care at the expense of the WT.
The COBE position is just more workable in the hands of someone who has a quicker mind and can receive and respond to matters from WT representatives and follow through on instructions. A person in their 80's may have seen too much and know too much so it's better for the WT to sideline them.

Is Watchtower's stance against education only for North American witnesses
by wannaexit ini was reading on a european ex jw forum where some feel that watchtower's railing against higher education is primarily for north america issue.
this is due that many in usa and canada leave home to leave on campus.
it was mentioned that many young european jw attend universities and its not frowned on.. i found this odd because i heard what morris and losch said about education in italy.

Yes, I tend to agree. Also the cost factor for American Schools makes paying loans back a long process. The WT doesn't want all those dollars going elsewhere, they'd rather make use of young and healthy publishers in the search for more converts, and keep them busy in Theocratic activities so their attentions aren't diverted to thinking about their futures and a career outside the WT.
Yup, it's a cult.

Partakers? what if WT pulled a '1919' on them, like they did on the Slave "class"??
by prologos intoday's text repeats the declassification of all the hard work of of the "feeders of the sheep" prior to 1919,-- to not being the f&ds.
the "slave" exists only in the " last days" according to matth.
the "lords day"**, as per the whole book of revelation.

And the R&F will no doubt say "that's right isn't it. That's the way it always was, wasn't it? It seems like "the Truth"!"
And before you know it all JW's will defend the new teaching and quickly forget what they so very sincerely supported before with all their mind, body and soul.

I find it so disconcerting to have Tony the Turd talking while the world is behind him in darkness with the only light points being the night lights of big cities.
The effect of a moving/rotating background behind this talking figurehead is conducive to nausea and his rambling on hypnotic.
Tony oh Tohy! What a bunch of bull you're spewing in your fancy web TV studio!

It is trying to be too sneaky in hiding the fact you can get DA/DF'ed if you dare to vote. Calling it DA'ing oneself by means of "nonneutral" behavior is totally WT speak for "you better not vote or we'll get your family and friends to shun you!"
Can anything be done about an organization claiming to be a non-profit religious corporation preventing their members from voting in public elections?
What legal maneuverings are they afraid of by calling it "nonneutral" and mean "choosing to vote"?

What laws are on your side (in the U.S.) so you can leave quietly
by oppostate inin another topic "just quit quietly - the law is on your side" there was a lot of discussion about how to leave quietly without getting tagged publicly as "no longer a jw".
here are some legal cases that could be used to show support for leaving quietly.. you have to first send a letter saying you're leaving that specific congregation, and that you don't want them to keep records of you.. if the boe says anything against you here are some court cases that make precedent for bringing a suit against them:.
baugh v. thomas (1970).

Can someone ask to be removed from a particular congregation without actually disassociating from the whole organization? If someone can find a way to do this, then perhaps they can find a loophole to leave without actually getting tagged as such, thereby there would be no institutionally enforced shunning by the family.
Exactly, the loophole is that once you remove yourself from a congregation, the congregation reps i.e. the BOE cannot take retaliatory action against you for doing so, it's a free country and you can leave any congregation you want.
Since Momma WT isn't going to hold a JC and DF anyone not at Bethel, you as a congregation member don't have any connection to the WT, that's the way the WT likes it. So, it's up to the congregation to do the dirty and hold a JC to "begin the shun".
By removing yourself legally from the congregation, you can still associate with congregation members as any worldly person can do. But since the elders have no legal power to act against a worldly non-member of their congregation, they cannot act against you as a former member unless they want to expose themselves to libel and spreading slander by announcing statements that carry a negative connotation of you and your reputation.
Since all you are doing is fading with the law on your side, it's definitely not a good idea to go ahead and put up Christmas lights if you take this road. This only allows you to believe what you believe, and do what you wish while doing it discretely, and away from the congregation.
The elders don't really want a headache with lawyers. Since you should make it clear you aren't DA'ing from the JW religion, just leaving the congregation, and telling them that if they seek legal counsel from the WT (with whom you as of now don't have a legal case) once the WT starts giving them legal support you will consider them as supporting the BOE's slanderous actions and then you will include the WT in the lawsuit.
What this does is it sends a message to the lawyers at Bethel. If you involve yourselves in this matter by giving legal counsel, your WT Society will be included in the pestering legal activities I'm about to unleash on the local BOE if they dare mess with my name and reputation.
The WT lawyers are going to suggest to the local BOE to "forget about it" and leave you alone, and that they better not aggravate the situation by doing anything stupid like holding a JC without you and DF'ing you.
The WT doesn't want any bad publicity and the shunning issue is something they need for control but they don't want exposed to the public or it would cost them new Bible Studies and potential later full fledged, R&F, money contributing members. If you make a big stink and just one Bible Study hears about it and quits as a result of learning that it's likely they'll be loosing their family if they get baptized then make a serious mistake--It's really not worth it to Momma WT.
If this "loophole" costs the bOrganization enough members who can't be shunned and are out there free to associate while harboring appostate feelings, you'll see action from Bethel rushing to plug up that loophole. If on the other hand, just a few slip through the cracks and enjoy family association without being members of a congregation then the WT will just look the other way, and best of all, advise the local BOE to do likewise.
