It's a big project but definitely not worth the amount of money grabbing from the collection of congregation bank accounts and the sale of many KH's, Circuit Assembly Halls, and the Brooklyn properties. Add to that the scam of forgiving loans but not forgetting a monthly contribution of equal or higher amount than the loan used to be. The letting go of so many older bethelites, CO's over 70 and all the DO's, whose medical insurance they no longer are responsible for.

This is a pricey project but there's way too much money left over in the bag, so they're planning for more. But more of what?

at the end of april, there was a zone visit in france, with tv broadcast in all kh.. g. losch told he received a letter from a girl, 10 years old, baptised at 5, reg pioneer since 4 years !

what a fine example, he said....... let s imagine the faces of the parents in the kh!

i was happy to see i was not the only one to find it crazy.. if you have a child, you know how mature he is at 5. how can a child preach 2.5hours/day after 7hours of school and homework to do??

around these parts we have some high-hour home-schoolers which are often dropped off at the KH and put on a car-group many times, often during the summer, without a parent to accompany them.

if you have been a jw for 20+ years you may remember that the wt went into great detail on different illustrations that jesus used and the "type/anti-type" ridiculous explanations.

remember the revelation book and how those obscure jw conventions of the past pictured big things in heaven and the opening of seals?

anyway, the wt lessons for the next two weeks do two big things for me.

Just daring to think about the obvious lack of confidence the GB inspires with their nonsensical explanations is also brazen enough reason to throw one aside as "mentally diseased" and get DF'ed!

so now with the saturday viewing of videos at the kh there's pressure to be at the kh to see the gb do their thing.

One one hand, around these parts, viewing the videos seems quite heavily promoted by the R&F to get together at the KH than the amount of times it has been encouraged on the broadcasts..

On the other hand the WT has more heavily promoted the "family worship" arrangement yet that doesn't seem to motivate as much interest.

Conclusion, it's easier and more enjoyable to go watch a "Theocratic" movie than prepare and conduct a family educational program that's often boring and conducted by the "Dad." Kids will sit down and watch a movie rather than sit through their parents attempts to conduct yet another boring meeting.

Also they are meeting to practice singing the new songs when no new videos are out. There are some very excited publishers who don't seem to mind giving up entire weekends.

I've been invited several times to the Saturday get-togethers (which aren't called meetings, but that's what they end up being). I just claim to have gone to the video site and say allergies are bothering my raspy throat, which is true, but there's no way I'm spending anymore time at the KH each week, enough is enough, well actually any time spent there seems way too much wasted time!

i know there are many posts discussing the may money requesting televangalism...er... broadcast i mean!

but i wanted to start one where anyone can put what they have heard any non-exjw, non-apostate witnesses say good or bad about the broadcast.

i don't see how it can't rattle followers... but then again i might be surprised how they can twist things (2+2=5).

so it was reported that the wt made $60,000,000 in canada last year (?).

working on the assumption that this figure is from not only donations, but from property revenues and other ventures from the branch, we get a figure of $528 per publisher, per year.

the calculation: 60,000,000 / 113,617 (2014 av pubs) = $528 a year per publisher.

The call for more money is something else not related to running the corporation. It has nothing to do with lawsuits. It's something outside the box of what we are assuming.

They've been claiming to want KH builds according to their new flat roofed design plans (as if that made sense in New England). But I've already heard about two Cong's not getting a new build. Instead they will get minimal renovations like adding a carport at the entrance and putting in wired smoke alarms instead of battery powered ones.

so either they are running out of money and will eventually cease to have as much influence, or, it is evidence of a lack of backing from "god", so they will eventually fade away?.

IMHO the GB is asking out of their greedy want not the Org's needs

They manufacture a perceived reason like loan forgiveness when clearly they've requested never ending payback to those loans. Bunch of greedy money grabbers that they are!

it was historic!

yes, all 7 of the gb have broadcast in the 7 months of the channel's existence!

I could only watch a bit of the beginning. What, with Lett's pantomimish over-gesturing the hysterics rather than hysterical expressions became too off putting to watch. It made for a historic embarrassment of how deluded the GB is about their own grandeur.
