  the whole elder body teaching and governing body teaching was based on research by a well known "apostate" raymond franz.

  franz wrote the aid book articles which gave rise to the changes made in the congregations and bethel.

  knorr was deposed by the johnny come lately new governing body members who in turn gave birth to those in charge today.

  Ray F''s views on religious leadership differ greatly from the way the GB 2.0 manage things today.

  His understanding of "older-men" taking the lead in the congregation was one of service, he even admits that Phoebe had a "ministry" a "service" to the congregation as a "diakonos" (note the male gender of the original Greek) even though she was a "woman," so he had no conflict with a more active role of women in the Christian congregations as servants for the sake of fellow believers.

  Knorr was a good businessman and organizational manager, but he showed little care for the R&F whom he treated as peons. He would have known that Ray F. was a good researcher and a sharp, eloquent writer and this would benefit the Watchtower. Intellectually this made Ray F. rank way above most fellow GB members and give the predilect WT's oracle, his uncle Freddy a run for his money--Freddy F. was, by the way, the only one with some university training behind him, from what I've gathered.

  The GB 1.0 feared what Ray F. could do if he turned against them out of conscience. Once Ray F. looked behind the curtain and saw the impotent leadership for the uncaring, manipulating busters they really were, the Gobbering Body sh@t themselves and reacted in a more and more controlling manner through witch-hunts at Bethel Headquarters and flaming lash-outs published in their magazines.

  Notice how quickly they moved to get rid of Ray Franz and Ed Dulop, but hung on to Chitty and Greenlees, moving them out to the fringes where their "deviant" behaviors wouldn't be so obvious.

  The current GB has little appreciation for Ray F. and those who were forced out over three decades ago, they've not learned any lessons, nor do they seem to care to--out of sight out of mind. Otherwise we would see a genuine move to benefit the well-being of the JW believers instead of worldwide counsel against spandex, colorful socks and tight fitting trousers.

  Why Is This New Batch of Governing Body Members So Stupid?

  well there are lots of reason for sure, denial, delusion, wishful thinking, ego maniac, infantile understanding of ancient writings, satanophobia, xenophobia, out of touch with reality, limited choices scrapping the bottom of the barrel,and many more.. listen to this ted talk and see if you can pick out something that helps explain why these guys are such ass holes:.

  organizations are often run according to the superchicken model, where the value is placed on star employees who outperform others.

  and yet, this isnt what drives the most high-achieving teams.

  Old timers like Barr, Barber (pre-senility anyway), Sydlik, Barry, etc. at least were dignified and gave the appearance of competence.

  They (GB 1.0) were wise enough and discrete enough to keep their mouths shut in public for the most part. This GB 2.0 seems to love the lime light. They don't know when to shut up! And that's good for waking people up.

  It almost was. We can thank the Obama administration for coming up with a ballsy plan that worked to keep us out of that mess brought on by 8 long years of Bush-Cheney fiscal ineptitude.

  The main meal of the WT is publisher donations, without these there wouldn't be any fancy printery buildings or luxurious offices and pricey living quarters, etc. The donations are the life-blood of the WT. If these dry up the WT religious empire is not sustainable.

  Isn't that just another barrel?

  Barrels make for good wines and bourbon. Barrels are not pleasant to be raked over.

  Science is a barrel of acquired empirical knowledge, dip your ladle all you want and it's always getting refilled with more and better knowledge and understanding of the physical universe we live in.

  Jesus contributions to human understanding often dealt with thoughts beyond the physical world. Physical senses cannot convey understanding of spiritual things. Spirit, faith, hope these are intangible, when Jesus' teachings dealt with physical reality, he urged peace, justice, love, and empathy. A barrel of wisdom for any age.

  But the WT is a barrel that leaks, seeps, stagnant watery refuse and gets filled with a constant supply by their filthy lucre-loving Gobbering Body.

  I long for the day the WT hierarchy find themselves raked over the proverbial barrel, and what a day of just reckoning that will be.

  Comparing JWs to Jews

  some have asked how my views and convictions have changed over the past 15 years or so after leaving the watchtower behind to return to my familys roots and embrace judaism.

  the best way to explain things is to allow both the religion of the watchtower and my life as a jew today to stand side-by-side for comparison.

  while i cant guarantee this will help prove to others that the jehovahs witnesses are truly a crazy religious group, i am sure it will prove to most that jews probably are, and are quite aware of it.

  Talking about crazy religions and rituals, what's an ultra-Orthodox Jewish fellow to do when he finds he's got 2,000 dead chickens due to heat exhaustion and can't be used ritually? Uhh, maybe sell them to a goy for deep frying and chicken soup!?!

  i noticed that anthony morris iii just said on the broadcast: "while we cannot control everything that an individual might say, it is clear that over the decades protecting children from abuse is a top priority for this organization.".

  that, in my opinion, is a direct response to the richard ashe "spiritual protection not physical protection" deposition.. here's a video putting the two statements side by side.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgevpuyn7gy.

  Do you have a JW hero?

  when i say jw hero i mean a jw who courageously did what was right despite the indoctrination and peer pressure to conform to cultishness.

  i have an unknown jw hero that i've never met but only heard of from an experience relayed to me about an incident at a jw funeral.. i was told that at a jw funeral internment, a non-jw put a wreath in the shape of a cross on the grave.

  shortly thereafter a jw elder came up and removed the wreath.

  Ray Franz, Ed Dunlap, Rinehardt Lengtat, Chris Sanchez, Nestor Kuilan and their wives are all heroes in my book, even martyrs who suffered the abuses of a religious publishing house and real estate corporation that insists on placing themselves between God and men, and seeks to drain people out of their youth, their labor and their meager means of living.

  Anyone who suffers from the abuses of the WT religion is a hero in my mind.

  I won't share my personal view of the WT hierarchy since Russell down to the current GB7, but it ain't very pretty and I'd have to use words better not said in mixed company!

  Considering how Knorr treated Ed Dunlap, and also his opinions about women, and giving the "don't touch your pee-pee at Bethel talk", I have very little respect for that WT President.
