As a fellow lover of the English language and all its quirks, I thought you would get a kick out of this, Terry.

Creationist Should Dismiss Genesis Quickly
by Coded Logic inchris tann,.
in your earlier post you seemed to be under the impression that genesis and science were somehow compatible .
however, the truth is the two are not reconcilable at all.

You can present any logic, and evidence along with faults in the Genesis account, and it will still not be enough for the typical fairy tale believer.
It's the non-typical ones that we hope start to question and truly think and they're definitely out there and on here, sometimes lurking for years, learning how to ask hard questions and get real answers that have nothing to do with magic. :)

One other note here, when Occam's Razor says the simplest explination is often the most likely - simplest doesn't mean the least amount of steps. Simplest means the answer with the least amount of assumptions. And I cannot think of a bigger assumption than an all powerful God.
Very well said.

Sure, I do! Doesn't mean I'm calling out to any specific deity just like when I say 'what a load of shit' I'm not actually referring to a large pile of poo.

The bible also says that the earth has foundations, four corners, pillers and having a cornerstone. There are more verses that state those as descriptions than the one saying that the earth hangs on nothing. The verse that speaks of the earth being a circle follows that statement by desbribing the heavens as a curtain that are stretched out like a tent.
It's definitely hard to start asking difficult questions and it's nice to see you doing that, Chris. :)
