  It makes no sense whatsoever that a" CREATOR" would only communicate with a minority of the population then put the onus on them to convey this life saving message to the WHOLE wide world

  i now find it idiotic that i could ever beleive the bible to be the inspired word of god.....,throughout the bible "god"has only dealt with a few of his favoured spokespersons to deliver his messages to a minority populace.individuals at first,..... then, patriarchs,nomads,a small nation,ignoring all other nations that had sprung up.......,abandoning his chosen nation,sending his "son"to a small nation, only giving them his pearls of wisdom,much of what was not even recorded for prosperity and remember he never wrote a word,it was left up to other imperfect humans to record what he was supposed to have said,just a smidgen......,again ignoring the bulk of humankind keeping them in ignorance of his plan for universal salvation,leaving it all up to imperfect humans to spread this message of salvation, whom he has already condemned for their sinfullness and disobedience.i just find it so unbeleivable.

  in the 6000 years of recorded history only a fraction of the earths population,maybe less than a third have ever heard of the god of the bible, or his so called plan to redeem humankind ,thats millions and millions of people.

  ( india,arabic,afghanistan,pakistan etc.etc.).

  Yan I suspect you are not thinking clearly. Which generation would it be best for The God to do that? What about the paranoid folks? Do you think it might be too scary for some people? I do.

  You think this because you have human empathy and this does you credit, darlin. However, you are once again putting limitations on God's abilities...and like I said before, you can't have it both ways.

  Please explain this. I do not understand what you are saying.

  Ok - you can't have it both ways. Either the god you worship is all powerful, all seeing and all knowing or he's not. If the bible is right about his abilities, then he can manipulate time, space and matter at will. You saying that he HAS provided a message but WE don't hear it because we don't have faith is making him a very human creature - unable or unwilling to really provide a message that is clear, concise and unmistakable (not vague) to all humans at the same time.

  But when a poster posts that they don't know what God expects (if real), I don't understand that.

  It all comes back around to the bible being the one and only source of faith and belief, and that is way too flimsy a string to hang from. If God is as powerful and all knowing as you believers claim he is, then sending a clear, concise and impossible to misinterpret message simultaneously to everyone on the planet should be a piece of cake. The bible says a lot of things about what God expects, and love isn't mentioned quite as often as you'd think - if that's really what he expects.

  Yes, I know, I'm going to hear that 'no, I don't believe that the bible is the one and only source of faith and belief' but it really is. At least let's be honest about that...

  Which God did do with Adam and Eve. The rest of us are the children of the children of the children (etc) of Adam and Eve. (even if you think Adam and Eve only represented the first of us)

  Wait...so now you believe the Adam & Eve story? I thought you agreed in the past that these were allegorical people. So if God 'speaks' to fake people who are supposed to relay the 'message' to their 'fake' children, where does that leave us real people? Because if you're going to go back all the way to the Genesis tale to back up the argument that God HAS spoken to us, then I really don't understand your line of reasoning...*said with love*
