good grief, not an ounce of reality here. What a wicked Dad with his work ethic and desire to provide well for his family. So they would rather he was available to help out other members of the congregation spiritually and be at their beck and call than to be available to his family and provide for them. total piffle.

They never call, they never visit and they never write. When I was in they only called to use the loo so things are looking up.

How do I tell my husband?
by dissonance_resolved ini'm a born in, baptized as a young teenager, whole family is jw.
i just recently woke up after the new understanding of the fds was announced and it seemed to me to smack of power-grabbing.
i started looking at all the websites we're not supposed to, and now i know why.

In the beginning encourage him to miss meetings and service, plan things for weekends and spend time connecting with him. Be cautious because often those who appear weakest are most likely to run to the elders in a spiritual crisis to deflect attention from their own inadequacies. It is how witnesses are conditioned.
Asking questions is good don't try to push him to fast he will take time to process new thoughts and too much too soon may cause panic.
Good luck

the journey of my children in awakening
by Aussie Oz inat the request of some, i have gone through many of my posts of the last 3 years to collect all my methods i used to awaken my children to the truth about the truth.. from oldest to newest (i will do them in a few posts so its not an endless scroll thru).
had a bit of a chat today about the internet (which i know he likes to use at my place).
in his use of the net today i found one site he visited was one i had visited to get a pdf of a society publication.

Thank you for compiling this information. It helps to show how patience and persistence pays off and how important it is to be there for children. The JW world has no empathy for teenage struggles and really only knows how to punish them when they slip up it is so important that there is someone there for them with no religious agenda.

Just wanted you to know, none of you are intriguing. Rather, you're all quite repulsive.
by Theocratic Sedition innot saying that's my personal opinion, but this week's congregation bible study asks the viewpoint question, "would apostate literature or internet sites intrigue you or repulse you?
"- jeremiah book, page 70, para 7. .
gotta love it.. i guess apostate sites are like crime scenes.

Not repulsive, surely not. Entertaining is a much better word Outlaw is definitely entertaining.

Evil Elderettes, the true Hounds of Hell!
by Bubblegum Apotheosis inmy wife was told a brother was going to be disfellowshiped, "how do you know this is going to happen?
" sister so-so said "he was not repentant or humble to the brother's kindness.
" instead of engaging into a heated debate, she knew who the leak was, so-so's husband.

It is inevitable that some elders will discuss things with their wives. I knew some elders wives who seemed to know everything. My husband used to keep this stuff to himself and would leave the room to talk on the phone or go over to another elder's house to discuss matters. I often would see that something was making him miserable but he could not discuss things with me. I have to say I had better things to do than worry about the dirty secrets of others so never pressed him. I assumed that was what most elders wives did.

You did well in the circumstances. However if you have reported the conversation in any detail then you could be outed if anyone looks on here.
If you are ready to let go then that is not an issue.
Do not give them any power or control over you, they are unimportant men trying to gain validation by exerting influence over you.

haven't seen witnesses here for a long time perhaps they have stopped going out too.
I love my weekends and the chance to lie in wouldn't trade it for a Saturday morning trudge for anything.

i mean i can understand learning from the account, but this is kinda deviant.

preparing the mind whilst young means that they will see nothing abnormal in this.
As a mum it is truly shocking that this event is seen as appropriate material for a colouring in exercise.
