How JWs are remembering 9/11
by LDH injust thought you guys would get a kick out of this.
my employer (huge corporation) sent an email to everyone in the fresno office yesterday, letting us know that in the spirit of 09/11, we were permitted to dress casually *if* we wore red, white and blue.. true to style, the jdubs on my floor showed up in ...... purple polyester.

Dan,
The difference is that when a 'suggestion' comes down from JW cheifs. It's a command. If you choose not to follow the 'suggestion' there will be repercussions. Their is no 'suggestion' in the JW world.
With the large corp, the memo was a true suggestion. If people choose not to follow I doubt there will be any repercussions, or if managment even cared. They just looked like dorks for a day, some JW's hate this but some live for the 'chance to seperate themselves'.

Oklahoma Business has to shut down for selling Canadian drugs
by Sadie5 inrx depot, which i understand has several offices throughout the u.s. was ordered by the fda through court orders to shut down its office in tulsa, ok. .
it is a business which takes prescriptions from local doctors and obtains them from canadian sources.
customers were saving tons of money.

In the words of bart simpson that website was 'craptacular', they guy needs to invest in a book on CSS.
I have never thought for one minute that saying your a JW helps in a job interview. I remember that from the stage the elders would often give parts about how certain 'skills' in:
- Leadership
- Public Speaking
- Teaching
That we learned in the org. could help us get jobs and we should not hesitate to bring up these learned 'skills'. I never bought it.

Davis and Bustamonte are idiots. I dont think people outside of California realize that California Democrats are much further left than the rest of their party.
Currently California is ranked 49 in business friendly states if bustamonte gets elected it will drop to 50. My family runs a small business (13 employees) thanks to the more than doubling of the workers comp tax, we can no longer give raises. And we are activly trying to find ways to reduce headcount.
If our business tanks my entire extended family is looking to move out of california, its getting that bad. Producers and workers are leaving California leaving just government workers and section 8 cases.

Very politically active.
Here in California Davis just signed a law that pretty much allows you to get a drivers liscense by just walking into a DMV and telling them your name and that your an illegal alien. With the motor-voter legislation this means they can vote also. I plan on getting as many new DLs as I can and I am going to see how many times I can vote just to show how flawed the current system is. I am thinking of webcasting it just to show people the screwed up system.
I honestly think vote 40+ times will not be a problem, the only limitaion is how many names I can come up with. I'll just pencil in the name on my dog on the ballets so I dont screw up the election, my dog is probably more qualified than any Cali legislator anyway.
