  additionally, birthday celebrations tend to give excessive importance to an individual, no doubt one reason why early christians shunned them.

  (ecclesiastes 7:1) so you will find that jehovahs witnesses do not share in birthday festivities (the parties, singing, gift giving, and so forth).

  i think it's still a district convention until it goes to two days, isn't it?

  my convention program leaflet just says "convention of jehovah's witnesses", seemingly intentionally avoiding the change in wording.

  Interesting thoughts on number 6 there, maybe a quiet way to weed out all of the apostates within? But I really have a hard time believing they actually can think a plan through like that.

  WT Doctrine, Population rather than Generation

  the watchtower has forced a rather strange interpretation of the word "generation" in order to keep their doctrinal beliefs concerning the year 1914 consistent with the words of jesus "this generation will not pass...".

  however, the watchtower's "overlapping" definition of the word generation is strange and unnatural to common use.

  according to the watchtower, a grandfather, son, and grandson all living at the same time would make up a single generation.

  in brazil.since march 2000,local witnesses build or repaired 3,647 kingdom halls.the way i see it, that is 205 publishers per kingdom hall.i think brazil is ok for kingdom halls.. a few years ago durning a c.o.

  There is really no way for an honest appraisal from us on the outside.

  The WT offers zero transparency when it comes to their finances. They want it that way.

  As long as their members follow like blind sheep, they will be able to run their moneymaking scam.

  my parents gave my addess to the elders without asking me

  so my folks went to the meeting today and somehow i got brought up and they gave them my address so they can call on me because i'm inactive,i am upset about it because they didn't ask me first,i told my parents i wish they hadn't of done that without asking me first and my dad's response was are you not baptised?

  and i said yes when i was 17 and i don't want to talk to anyone (i'm 51 now) and want to avoid any discussions that may cause me to lose my relationships with family that is still in,,so now i feel my successful fade will be jeapordized.

  So ridiculous, why do people think its ok to give out their 51 year old childs' address?

  Firm and a bit irritated if/when they call should send them on their way. At least you can be ready for it.

  Handing in '' Field Service Report '' even if you're very ill.

  my mom has not been to any meetings or participated in field service since august 2013. she cannot walk due to all her medical conditions.

  she is either in bed or sitting in a wheel chair.. our family hired a caretaker monday - friday to help her eat, take her to the bathroom and sit with her in case she needs anything.

  in the evenings and weekends, we have family members take care of her.
