Two choices.
Accept her and it for what it is, and that she will never ever leave.
Leave her and rebuild your life.
i haven't posted anything for a bit, but wanted to express how i am losing this battle.
it has been over 3 years now since i woke up about watchtower.
the battle that i am talking about is the tug of war with my wife (i adore her immensely), watchtower is winning, she simply will not give in to my so-called negative thoughts about the religion that we are in.
Two choices.
Accept her and it for what it is, and that she will never ever leave.
Leave her and rebuild your life.
what is it about making friends in the organisation am i the only one who had found it tough?
don't get me wrong there was some good people but unfortunately there was also a lot of egotism, back stabbing, jealousy and gossiping.
i could never really fit in any group, everytime i thought i had found a group it was as if i would be sidelined or ditched.
The reason you cannot have real friends in that religion is because they will become your enemy at a moments notice. They think you've "sinned", whether you have or not...they will turn your ass into the elders in a New York second.
If your name comes up at the meeting as "no longer a Jehobo's Witness" they will never speak to you again. You can't develop real and trusting relationships when there is that kind of tension permeating everything surrounding you.
hi, i am a christian and i would like to know jehovas witness's belief in god and whether you believe jesus is god.
please, any statements back up with biblical verses, thank you and god bless, in jesus's name.. i am new on here, so please be patient with me :).
Regular JWs aren't allowed to freely express themselves, they are in a cult. You can't question or oppose official doctrine.
If you want a real JW, you can try JWtalk.com, or Topix seems to have more active JWs. Or you can call the local Kingdom hall in your area and invite one over. I'd hesitate before doing that, they will pester you until you say not to come around anymore.
this is a legitimate question.
did any of us ever find real joy in being at the meetings?
did any of us ever finish a meeting and think "i feel so enriched"?
Great thread.
Anyone else get super nervous when the WT conductor would be way behind on time? Like on para 8 and there were like 20 minutes left to go in the meeting? You know its going to go overtime at that point! Then of course he would still ask those stupid ass review questions at the end. Then the stupid speaker would get up there and give a 5 minute prayer. GAAAAAAH!
I swear, the only thing worse than a meeting is being stuck at a meeting five or ten minutes LONGER than it should have been.

We are mostly Ex JWs here.
JWs do not believe Jesus is God. They believe he is a creation of God (Jehovah). Not many active JWs here but if one comes along they can give you their scriptural justification.
we both are 21 years old.
we both are 21 years old.
i am almost done with my study and working on to become one of an unbaptized publisher.
You're 21 years old...both of you. Stop and think for a minute about these silly rules, where you aren't allowed to sit in a coffee shop and hold hands with someone you love without worrying about being tattled on and questioned. Its rather insane, isn't it?
Stick around here, lots of good threads on the JW religion as a whole. You owe it to yourself to fully understand what you are getting involved in, it will literally be life changing on levels you don't realize right now.
i don't want anyone to take this the wrong way but i use to at least feel smart as a jw.
when i went to thursday night meetings, i at least felt like i was a student, that i was learning how to speak publicly, i could prepare my own comments, i could answer points that i learned from the weekly bible reading.
i even feel like an "idiot" studying for the meetings.
i have been reading john bechtel's blog.
someone provided a link recently and it is brilliant.
anyone that enjoys personal experiences including bethel tales will love this.
I haven't heard a peep out of JR Brown in a long time.
Maybe because he is a shitty spokesman
the wt’s teaching that humans will live forever on a paradise earth will necessitate that given that there will be no more death, then immortal humans will have to be relocated to other planets in order to prevent the earth from becoming overpopulated.. so how many habitable, earth-like planets are there?more and more habitable, earth-like planets would have to become available on a continuous, never-ending basis ad infinitum as mankind’s population grows given that there will be no more death.. the longevity/sustainability of life on these planets will be limited by the fact that the sun serving these planets will eventually die:https://shar.es/1cko6n.

so immortal humans will have to keep moving from planet to planet.
Well, God's magik skillz will prevent what you are talking about, just like he had skillz back in the day with Noah and his awesome ark.
The real question is whether people will have free will in da new earth. Because if they do, they will eventually get fucking tired of petting panda and koala bears. Which means they will start fukkin each other outside of marriage (assuming they still have dicks and vaginas, questionable based on WT doctrine) or they may start smokin weed, snorting coke, or just going ape shit crazy on each other because they are stuck in a so called paradise being ruled by WT dickhead elders. Anyway, paradise earth under JW rules and regulations is nothin' I want to endure...
