Bethel Branch at Ajalvir, Spain

most of you have probably read about this already, but just in case... i recently came across some interesting information regarding the spains' bethel branch in ajalvir.

on march 26, 2007, spains's department of labor and social matters (ministerio de trabajo y asuntos sociales) paid a very unwelcome visit to the branch and conducted a site inspection which uncovered overwhelming evidence that the watchtower society was knowingly violating varios legislative decrees regading workers' rights.

it was further discovered that the society was intentionally circumventing the law in order to avoid having to pay social security benefits as required by the "regimen general del sistema de seguridad social" (spain's ss administration).

Elder( He does'nt know I was reprooved) from another Cong. invited me to give a Public Talk,...Please advice!!!

he invited me about 4 weeks ago, to be a guest speaker in his cong.. should i go ahead?.

should i tell him about my situation?.

what's the worst that could happen if my cong finds out about this?.

16 From the many recorded experiences we next observe that the official "Word" transmits the message either by means of an angelic messenger who appears face to face or by the use of God's holy spirit to inspire the next agent in the line of communication. On special occasions even the Word himself might appear in a face-to-face interview with the next agent. Who, generally, is that next agent? For supernatural communications that reach the earth the agent (generally a human, although once the ass of Balaam was used) is referred to Biblically as a prophet if he is a male servant of God or a prophetess if a woman. The prophet, in turn, speaks out the communication as God's spokesman on earth. He publishes it to the many whom God intends to hear it if other than a single person is being specifically addressed. The prophet then becomes the immediate earthly channel through which the waters of lifegiving truth are conveyed to earth's thirsting residents. Thus Jehovah's earthly channel of communication is identified. The earthly channel is either a prophet or a collective prophetlike organization.

Question about A.H. Macmillian and the early WT (JW) people after 1914.

i started a thread about david splaine, and the we were talking about fredrick franz, and then the subject of a.h macmillian came up.

i was asking why so many bethelites stayed single instead of getting married or having children (well, people who were both in and out of bethel during that time..

In October, 1902, I attended a convention in Washington, D.C., where I was married. My wife and I then spent a year in California, returning in 1904 to Allegheny. In 1905 I made a nation-wide convention tour with Russell.
