well guys, after a spiritually encouraging convention, i’ve decided to return my heart back to jehovah.
i realize i was just being too negative and i need to adjust my attitude.
just kidding suckers.
I see many commenting here about the convention not mentioning about Jesus. Even if they had, so what? Is Jesus truly a historical figure, truly the son of God, truly performed miracles, all his prophecies came true?
The way Jesus said to leave our family and follow him, makes him a cult leader too.
I think the point is that many of the things that Jesus taught go directly against the concept of high control religion and JWs try to avoid those ideas.

Another speaker said that we can also make Jehovah happy or sad. I wonder which member of the Gibbering Booty Jehovah shared that with so that we know we are so important in the universe that we affect the emotions of God?
This has never made sense, there are 8 billion people on earth so God must be very emotionally confused. Maybe each one of us makes his heart sad or glad for tiny fraction of a second?

There are different charities everywhere in the world. The volunteers working there say that it gives them true happiness and purpose in life. If they claim that they are truly happy, then why do you think they work hard to have all these fundraising programs to attract more volunteers and raise funds?

Many would say that Jehovah can use any "tool" to accomplish his purpose.

I don't think they would even need to be rich but if they exuded happiness and seemed to genuinely have a purpose in life, then they wouldn't need to put in billions of hours knocking on people's doors.

i was at the regional convention and asked an elder why is that at the assemblies their is an accounts report but not at the conventions?
he said, well actually they got a letter and in it said that in a little while they will do away with the accounts report stating how much the assembly costs for the weekend and just go to donation basis like at the conventions.. my first thought was, "they will donate even less now.".
