How many went on to college after leaving the JW's?

i wonder how many of you went to college after leaving or while you were in and what was your experience like?.

I am 45 and I am working on my BS in Marketing Management. I did enroll when I was still in the Borg, left when I was 25. I had attended a junior college for one year, I don't really know if it affected the way I was treated, my father had been DF'd most of my growing up years. And that came with its own problems. Because I am a single mom, Pell Grant is paying for most of my schooling. I do believe our studying skills do come in handy, my GPA is 3.86.

what kind of degree do you have?

i agree that it is important and i plan on going back to school in the fall but im just wondering who all here has a degree and in what?

Associate in Applied Science Industrial Management, Associate of Business Administration Accounting. I am currently working on my BS in Marketing Management. All of these were earned after I left. I did have one semenster towards a Marketing certificate before I left.

High School Renunion and Hypocrite Jw

i was one of 2 ex jws and there was one current jw there.
the current jw shut me out, but i saw a fb post today between the other ex and the same current jw.

Considering organizing an unbelieving spouse support group in my area. Any suggestions?
by garyneal ini like coming to this board because i like the feeling of knowing that i am not alone in dealing with jehovah's witnesses and their mind control.
however, i still feel largely alone because i cannot find any actual people in the area i live who is dealing with a situation similar to mine.. as most of you know, i am the unbelieving spouse of a jehovah's witness and i find it frustrating to know that holidays, birthdays, etc.
are not held in as high regard by my wife as they are for me.

Meetup charges but there might already be a group on there. Another source is Yahoo Groups. The ex JW group I am a member of was on Meetup but is now on Yahoo. Our coordinator is a nonbelieving spouse, but the rest of us are mainly exes. I haven't been able to make it to the last two meetups because of work, I am really looking forward to April's meeting. Yes I am in the US, the South to give you some idea.

It was actually a block party with everybody from the 80's from my little podunk high school. The person who is still in in my class talked to me and another ex JW. Out of 210 graduates we had 5 JWs, only one is still in. The hypocrite was in the year before ours. When I saw the still in person walk into the restaurant my class was having their dinner in, I asked if she was going to talk to me. One of our classmates heard and said" She sure better!" and she said she didn't have any problem talking to me. In fact we are now FB friends. Quite frankly, it is a Whatever! moment.
