This made me think of myself and also my mother. I know that she suffered from severe depression but never sought help for it due to the org's view on it. I do hope that this is a sign that they are moving towards helping with any kind of mental illness.

hi all, new posting, but i've been lurking for a while.
i thought it was time to "come out" as it were and voice my story.... i was born into the jw cult surrounded by all of my jw family.
grandfather was an elder for almost 40 years till he passed, both of my uncles are currently now elders and have been for the last 15 years.
Welcome, I was born in also. This site is wonderful. Lots of wisdom and knowledge here. I also recommend reading Crisis of Conscience by Raymond Franz. I even have a (very well read) copy that I'd be happy to send if you want. Again welcome...
