  September 15th Watchtower is making me feel literally ill

  ...i can't believe how loaded it is with all manner of arrogance, organizational chest-thumping/idolatry, and i still haven't gotten to the last article yet!

  i know...i shouldn't be reading it.

  i just...need to know what's going on so i can at least know what's going into my family's heads.

  hey everyone,.

  i have a friend who is divorcing her jw husband, she is baptized but has not attended a meetting in nearly 5 years.

  the other day he came at her with proverbs 31 and telling her that she is not living up to her christian duties as a wife.

  LOL... Thanks everyone. Sorry for the delay in responding as I have been ill.

  I totally agree with Brizzzy... he needs to be cleaned out good. he has put her thru so very much. Just don't want to elaobrate her.

  Hey everyone,

  I have a friend who is divorcing her JW husband, she is baptized but has not attended a meetting in nearly 5 years. The other day he came at her with Proverbs 31 and telling her that she is not living up to her Christian duties as a wife. He states that because of this he has had to step down from his Elder position. She wants to show him from a JW standpoint what a husbands responisbilties are. They a have a child with disabilites that he does not give much help with. What JW material can she show him?

  Ray Franz has had a stroke

  just setting the record straight.

  there is another thread that notes a claim on wiki that said that ray has died.. he had a stroke yesterday, and is in the hospital.

  Wow!!!! That makes me wonder if that's why my parents married back in '68? Esp. considering the circumstances that my mom was in (pregnant by someone else)......

  It's terrible that the WTS puts things the way they do...

  Hey everybody,

  I have a friend with whom I grew up with, she has remained a JW for the last 25 years. She is now fading out. The last straw for her was the New Generation teaching. She called me and asked how the JW's explain what happens in the New System regarding marriage and such. If anyone can point me towards WT or Awake articles, I'd greatly appreciate it.
