I have never been a big VW fan but I did own a 1972 Van about 20 years ago. It was a lot of fun and great on gas. Fortunately mine was not gutless. A brother had built the 1600cc engine and bored it out to 1641cc with duel carbs and bigger exaust. It didnt do too bad. Would love to get a 21 window micro bus.

The long road of the VW Bus coming to an end
by designs ini didn't even realize the vw bus was still in production but vw in brazil still produces the iconic bus, production will end in december.. many of us had vw buses, surf wagons et al, i had a 1959 'camper' special we would take on surfing trips to baja california and camp on the beaches down by san quentin.. i took my 'magic bus ride' with four jw buddies just before my arrest over the vietnam draft.
we rode up the california coast to big sur.
with the side door open and feet hanging out we traveled the coastal route from los angeles through santa barbara, pismo beach, san simeon, big sur and monterey ending in san francisco where i hopped a flight back to los angeles for my arraignment.. enjoy-.

In Oregon it was like Designs said: Dont ask, Dont tell. There was even an elder in one area congregation that was here illeagally. And no way is this an "official" policy. Like alot of the Watchtowers "policies" it's all under the table.

If Lot can ask for the city of Zoar to be spared, why can't we ask for the DF'd to be spared?
by Quarterback intodaay's wt study mentioned jah's reasonableness when lot requested to go flee to zoar, instead of flight to the mountains.. jah had accomodated lot's request, and the city that was doomed to be destroyed got spared.
