  there doesn't seem to be and in between human model

  There would have been a gradual transition along the lineage leading to modern humans. There would be a reward in terms of physical resources by not growing a skeleton and muscles that were larger than necessary to cope with changing environments and social circumstances.

  One of the transitions in that respect that may have opened the possibility for our brains to expand was covered in this thread...

  okay i was thinking about it.

  and it is a transhumanist argument and nothing new, i do realise that before anyone points it out.

  but it struck me afresh today that the resurrection must happen.. firstly, to state the obvious, a rational materialist conception of reality seems to exclude resurrection.

  Assumptions 4. A civilisation or intelligence which has been able to exhaustively map the material composition and configuration of the universe over all of time will also be in a position to recreate entities including people from the past by recreating their exact material condition.

  There is your mistake right there.

  Identical twins or clones - identical twins born at different times - are still different people with unique experiences. A unique human being is an impossibly complex interaction between nature and nurture.

  I also think you have a simplistic, caricature-like perspective of a deterministic universe.

  Looking for a Book on Evolution

  i am wondering if anyone is aware of a book or series of videos designed to explain evolution to creationists, (specifically the jw strain of creationism if possible) without being patronizing or overly confrontational.

  i would like to have something to recommend to people who challenge evolution, but i know that the sources which convinced me would turn most of them off because of the confrontational and at times condescending tone in which it's presented.. some examples of what i'm looking for would be someone who doesn't claim evolution is a fact until after they have presented all of the evidence that makes it a fact and also have addressed as many counter-arguments as possible..

  I debate this subject with many materialistic atheist PhD scientists, and they cannot give me one positive mutation from any species that caused a positive change for survival.

  You are lying. I'm an amateur and I could give you plenty. There are quite a few in my Evolution is a Fact series of threads.

  Mutations cause disease and malformations

  Some mutations do. Those ones don't thrive in the gene pool. Many are neutral, some are beneficial.

  But you will not get a whale from a deer-like mammal from mutations

  There's been some resistance to the Commission in certain levels of the British government. So much so, in fact, that three of the Commission's Directors have resigned is as many years.

  I think you are confusing the Public Enquiry of historic child abuse in the UK with the Charity Commission investigation of the Watchtower in the UK.

  i would like to apologize in advance if any of my information on the biology side of this discussion is incorrect, because unfortunately it is not my strongest scientific subject on account of my being subtly encouraged to view it with distrust.. i've recently debated the of subject of evolution with my father, i made the argument that when viewed over several million years random mutation provides a more than adequate explanation for humans having evolved from a common ancestor with chimpanzees.

  then he got this derisive look on his face a waved his hand saying "evolution's explanation for everything is the amount of time involved.".

  so i decided i would examine this mathematically.
