  ok, i'm not one for conspiracy theories but lately i've uncovered some interesting facts that i think warrant some attention.. first of all, russell was a freemason.

  all the early watchtower and books he authored have freemason symbology and art throughout them.

  not a big deal i thought, until i read more about freemasons and the so-called "illuminati", a group of 13 families that supposedly control the world.. supposedly these 13 families, such as the duponts, mcdonalds, kennedys, .

  I'm struggling to see the connection but I think you have perfectly illustrated my point that some people on the left really don't understand others who don't share their worldview.

  Care and compassion are valued by people on the right and the left. Regressive lefts think it is the only virtue worthy of attention.

  with all due respect, I think that issue applies to more than one "righty" as well

  There was an interesting study that showed how "lefties" failed miserably to describe the moral landscape of "righties" and predict their responses to ethical dilemmas, but the opposite was not true. I will try to find you the reference.

  I think Jonathan Haidt's book on the "Righteous Mind" explains the psychology behind a lot of modern-day tribalism.

  "Lefties" can't even comprehend how somebody can think differently from them and still be a moral, compassionate and ethical person.

  Counter-protests to Free Speech Rally in Boston

  i never thought i would see that in the us, a "free speech rally" (which has distanced itself from and organizers have nothing at all to do with the right, republicans or extremism) is being counter protested by thousands in boston today, the counter protests being organized by a coalition of black supremacists and sjw's.. on the other hand, google is building a database of speech that doesn't align with the left-wing political values.. i'm not sure what youngsters are thinking these days, but free speech used to be the cornerstone of american civilizations only a few decades ago.

  the only way to drown out "bad" free speech is more free speech..

  Actually the implications of Bill C16 are anything but clear even to legal experts. The fact that you insist it is clear demonstrates your lack of understanding of the issues.

  If a student demands to be referred to by made-up gender neutral pronouns such as ve, xe, ze and hir, ze and zir, zie and hir, is it now a criminal offense if a professor refuses to comply? Nobody is certain - or rather some on the left are determined that it is now an offense and universities are terrified to find out the hard way. Lawyers have expressed opinions on both sides.

  This is a significant issue. It is not just a law proscribing offensive speech - it is potentially prescribing politically correct speech. It is bizarre. At best it is badly thought-out legislation that prioritises ideology above common sense.

  It is also profoundly unscientific. Gender dysmorphia affects 0.005% of the population. It is a serious condition that deserves support and counselling. But for 99.995% of the population gender cannot be chosen. It is a biological fact. Legislating that society ought to indulge attention-seeking students is utter madness.

  We all know that you will only get lies and deception from active JWs and from the official website. If you want to know the truth about the Watchtower you need to talk to exJWs. Same goes for any other cult including the LDS.
