Hello and welcome.
I am fascinated by those who have gone completely atheist and evolutionist. I don't believe I'll ever change my mind on those things, but it's interesting to see the comments from those who went from full on JW to a complete 180 concerning God and the Bible. I'm open to opinions, always.
Personally I spent a decade as an evangelical christian after leaving the cult. Eventually I concluded that the bible is not a good moral guide and natural evil makes the existence of the god of xtian theism impossible. I'm always open for a conversation about these things,

UK Blood Scandal inquiry findings
by ukpimo inhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-69025640.
how do you feel about this latest inquiry?
although we expect jehovah's witnesses to use this opportunity to say "we were right all this time", it's nonetheless a historic blow to the nhs.

Patients needing factor 8 were the most affected group. The WT permitted factor 8 even at the height of the contamination crisis. They have nothing to feel smug about.
Successive governments, civil servants and the NHS have conspired to hoodwink the public yet again. Nothing changes.

Bribie, the Uk is still a great place to visit. The largest cities are probably unrecognisable from the 70s when you were last here though. There are many beautiful regions with great scenery and amazing history. The Northumberland coast is worth considering as part of an itinerary, it's not too busy. We have had some great holidays in the Lake District, Peak district, Lincolnshire and Devon. Scotland is fantastic if you get good weather. You will still find plenty nice villages and pubs and cricket if you need a good sleep in the afternoon :)

Solar Eclipse - How Common is It?

All A are B
All C are B
Therefore all C are A
Therefore Jesus!
Fundy xtians are living proof that even the most simple logic is not a human universal.

What's the point of being on a discussion forum where theists just ignore everything that doesn't confirm their biases?

There are some big questions that are really puzzling.
Why is there something rather than nothing?
Why do some physical factors appear to be 'fine-tuned' for life?
The relative size and distance of the moon is definitely not among the interesting puzzles!
However resorting to 'god' - whatever you mean by that - is NOT any kind of answer. It's a place-holder at best and a conversation stopper at worst.
The god of christian theism is impossible. Not only is there no evidence for Yahweh, there is a mountain of evidence against the proposition. So climb down off your high-horse and join the rest of us in humbly admitting we don't know everything.

Was it Designed?
by Jeffro inthe jw website is currently featuring a piece: the shell of the diabolical ironclad beetle—was it designed?
it is part of their regular tedious 'was it designed?
' series that purports that very very specific animal species must have been specifically designed because of some seemingly amazing feature.. but they seem completely unaware that this directly contradicts their notion that only very broad 'kinds' were required on the mythical 'ark'.
