Mrs C and I had a lovely evening with Azor and 88JM. Great to meet them both and enjoy some nice food at the Stable Bar. Both really interesting people who have given up a lot in exchange for freedom.
Hopefully catch up with Scotsman, HOTB, NSWTG and others in the near future.

ok god designed this planet and then most everything on it intelligently yet 97% of the water on the earth is un drinkable.
Since no one knows how we got here, why we are here, and how long we will be here, one persons guess is as good as another's.
We do know the answer to the first of those questions - all life evolved from a common ancestor over millions of years.
The second one isn't a sensible question - there is no "why"?
The third is an open question.

hi why did one of your kind rob my child off me n is currently ruining their life telling them what to say so the court has to take extreme measures for my child to see me???
they're even happy to drag her to the doctor and brand her as mentally ill wholst promoting her conflicted n confused feelings instead of accepting im her mother.. im not a jehovas witness but a good person and a christian my dads an anglican priest im a law abiding good and good natured citizen yet they are messing up her head telling her to say she doesn't want to see,me as court has intervened saying she has to ?
her dad abandoned me pregnant and many years his junior.

I'm sorry to hear your daughter has been taken in by the Watchtower. Don't give up hope, the organisation is facing a bit of a crisis and a lot of members are waking up. Be there for her without judgement if and when she is ready.

The Watchtower's foundational claim is that it is faithful to the bible. The bible unequivocally condemns homosexuality. Therefore the Watchtower condemns homosexuality.
Their official statements are actually much more measured than many evangelical churches. The problem is that there are still people in the 21st century who think the bible is worthy of attention.

How about The Stable Bar? I haven't been there personally but it seems to be a decent traditional pub serving decent food and beer. (Beware Scottish drink-drive laws are very strict)
It would be an easy route for you from the area of your office on the south. If any locals have other suggestions please say so. Edited to add - Scotsman are you around this weekend?
