I was in North Shields yesterday. There is a little grocers on the quayside that has been supplying the fishermen for over a century. They cure their bacon in the backshop. I had a huge roll with 3 slices of thick bacon, no butter, tomato sauce. I'm only just starting to get hungry again now!

does this make any sense to you and what science if any shows cooked protein is better in any way over raw?

Cooking was like free calories!

I disagree that Jesus was lax about the sabbath. He kept the Law meticulously but refused to bow a legalistic application of it.
Christians can't have it both ways. Either Jesus is one with father in which case he approves of slavery and infanticide, or he is not one with the father and he is not the christ.

He claimed that "he that has seen me has seen the Father" and that "I and the Father are one".
In short, christians assert that Jesus is Almighty God from all eternity.
It therefore follows that Jesus was the god who ordered the nation of Israel to take slaves as inheritable possessions. Jesus instructed the armies of Joshua to commit genocide, to murder women and babies in cold blood and to kidnap virgins for sex-slaves.
Jesus of the gospels is like a Nazi leader with a new identity living like a harmless, friendly old man in South America.

the emergency spillway, never used before in the 48 years the dam has operated, is eroding.. major confusion and panic occurred when the order went out sunday, late afternoon: this is not a drill!.

Yes I think the differences between Paul and Jesus of the gospels are profound. Jesus was a Jewish Rabbi. He was absolutely wedded to the centrality of keeping the Law. His genius was to grasp the principles behind the Law.
Paul's assertion that Jew and Gentile were saved by faith alone, apart from Law, is not of Jesus of the gospels.
