The decision to leave the EU was the correct one for the long-term future of the UK. Those who believed Brexit would lead to instant prosperity and that the process would be pain-free are naive fools.
The EU is a monster that will never be satisfied until nation-states are replaced by its unaccountable authority.
There will be no second vote. Brexit will happen. All will be well.

It takes a lot of honesty and critical-thinking skills to work out that the 'truth' is a delusion. If you carry on resolutely applying those same skills to the claims of theism you will be forced to conclude that it too is a delusion.
Faith is not a way to determine reality; it is what we do when we lack evidence.

Remembrance Day
by label licker inthinking back on how we were not suppose to get involved in honoring the dead yet the entire bible is based on dead people, what they have done whether good or bad and lessons we could learn from them and honoring them.
i remember being told that we are not suppose to go boasting before men on what we do, not letting the right hand know what the left hand is doing yet all those people in the bible had their entire lives written down before us to be remembered.

Can you ever see a time when Govt`s of this world will attempt to abolish all religions ?
by smiddy3 inwe are now in the 21st century of our common era with its insights into the potential of what can be achieved in the near future to benefit mankind for years to come .. the co-operation of governments around the world on so many levels has never been better than it is today and it is at least encouraging to see this .. whether it has to do with the climate , the environment ,food production ,safe water for all ,and the better health for all in the near future, and in the future space exploration.
however the problem today is still religion !
in its many extreme forms that divides us in no ways that politics divide us .. politicians learn how to compromise and work with their opponents for the greater good ,whereas religions don`t.. religions divide humans like no politicians ever did well not to the extremes religions will go anyway.. is their going to come a time in history when governments politicians say enough is enough and try attempt to abolish religion ?.

His book " A universe from nothing" only establishes that there really is, and never was such thing as nothing.
Did you read the book? I did and came to the opposite conclusion. The total energy in the universe is zero.
I am no longer convinced that religion does not have a positive role to play in society. I think Dawkins and Krauss are too simplistic.
Jonathan Haidt has some very interesting observations about this in his book, The Righteous Mind.
The challenge is how you replace the potential benefits of religion without lying to yourselves about reality.
