  I live in Kansas and we've been having sub-zero temperatures. I believe that Iowa recorded a -33 degrees this month.

  samantha bee on the daily show just recommended that tiger woods become a jehovah's witness (they were playing off brit humes suggestion that tiger needed to become a christian to achieve redemption for his infidelity); "serena williams, prince, ... it's like scientology for black people".. .

  Parakeet, yes, they do. Isaac Hayes for one and reportedly Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith are Scientologists (are associates).

  And Chaka Khan and Brandy (singers).

  this thread was inspired by the poster here with that moniker.

  that name, for the first time in my life, caused me to think deeply about the scriptural real meaning of the phrase used in isaiah, often used by biblical defenders to show it's inspiration by god.. i googled the phrase, and among other hits, found this little blogspace with comments that echoed my thought on the matter.. http://www.youngausskeptics.com/2008/12/what-you-really-think-a-sphere-is-a-circle-you-really-think-that/.

  Panic attacks + "You had another nightmare last night": Part 2

  ever since i got married and had to return to cult activities to keep peace in my home, i've been having panic attacks.

  i think i'm having panic attacks.

  ... anyone else go through panic attacks?

  One more thing, I do have mitral valve prolapse and my heart rate gets tachy (I have an arrhythmia.). I have to take Lopressor for that. You should have a talk with your doctor.

  I started to have panic attacks right after my husband was diagnosed with cancer (long story). Anyway, I would have some particularly bad ones at the Kingdom Hall. The attacks were something awful. Eventually, I went to a shrink; and he told me what was happening. . .closed in room with people that I didn't like. . .made sense to me.

  Anyway, I was started on Imipramine and Xanax. I still didn't feel comfortable at the Kingdom Hall; but I did feel better in general. I just got a "hinky" feeling in the Kingdom Hall, and out in Field Service, or anything to do with that organization.

  This is one of the reasons that lead up to me disassociating myself.
