I did buy this Russian rap album about two or three years ago...all the way from Russia. I don't understand a word they're saying.

As much as I love music, I have not bought an album in years except for the album Hope for Haiti. My daughter bought me a bunch of old school CD's and I haven't even opened them yet. Man, I'm in a funk. I guess that she has noticed that I haven't been playing my stereo as often as I used to.
I guess that I may listen to the CD's tonight.
I do buy individual songs off of itunes. The last individual song I remember buying is:

Hang in there. It sounds like you're making improvements to your life each day. I haven't been able to find a med that I can take for depression and anxiety. Every pill that I ever tried makes me feel like a drank 7 cups of coffee or something, which of course makes my anxiety worse. I can tolerate Klonopin for anxiety. I think I'm going to try something herbal for my nerves! No, not that kind of herb!

by Lady Liberty inhello friends... just found out that at the recent one day assembly they are now really discouraging people from getting married!!!!!
they will lose young ones like crazy if they start telling them that they cannot get married...what are these sexually frusterated young people to do??
you cannot masterbate, you cannot have sex outside of marriage (not that i would encourage it either, but...), now you cannot even get married?????

MsDucky that is sad. Hopefully someday they will wake up before they have wasted too much time, and turned down good offers.
Serenitynow, I wish they'd wake up before they've wasted their youth too. Those Witnesses definitely use some sneaky tactics when it comes to communicating with your EXJW families. We can't tell them nothing. We're apostate devils!

by Lady Liberty inhello friends... just found out that at the recent one day assembly they are now really discouraging people from getting married!!!!!
they will lose young ones like crazy if they start telling them that they cannot get married...what are these sexually frusterated young people to do??

That is interesting! So if they keep the young ones from getting married, they will be defeating their own purpose... no missionaries! Unless, they get some more *new light*!
I gotta slip that into a conversion somehow. "You can't be a missionary if you're not married!" They don't talk about spiritual things with me. Perhaps, I can get their dad or one of their sisters to say it.

My twin daughters said that they are not going to get married until the new system. They're 23 years old; and they have never dated. They want to be missionaries. One has been in the Dominican Republic helping with the preaching work. She speaks Spanish and is a sign language interpreter. She's supposed to be back today.
What can you do? I can't say anything negative about the religion. They wouldn't listen and they'd stop talking to me for months. They think it's a good thing not to get married. They say that people (men) are too imperfect. *sigh*

Finally, one day I realized that I google everything else- travel, research, trivia, etc. I should simply google Jehovah's Witnesses. Once I read some stuff at freeminds and jwfacts, I knew it was right to keep reading it.
That is what helped me too. The internet and freeminds. It had a list of groups that you could join. That's how I found JWD.
Even though I had disassociated myself, I still thought that I was wrong. I don't know where I'd be if it were not for the internet.
