McDucket I wish you lived within 50 miles, I'd be buggin' you with soup and love.
Beks, you know, I believe that you would do that. Thanks for caring!
i noticed a few people inquiring where i've been.
the simplest way to explain: been busy with life.
i guess i reached a point where i no longer "needed" to come here for catharsis.

Hi wasblind, I've started the new meds for my heart. So far so good! I still have the bad skin reaction from the Taxotere that I'm dealing with. It's nothing that I can't hide with clothes and gloves. So that's good. I'm supposed to start a new chemo regimen in about three weeks. Ugh! Now that, I'm scared of. Hopefully, it will not be as bad as the last two regimens!
I'm hanging in there!
Thanks for asking!

The chemo has caused me to have congestive heart failure. My ejection fraction is 39% so I'm hoping that I can get that into a higher range. I'm trying to stop smoking. Right now, I smoke about 5 cigarettes a day, which is a lot better than a pack a day. The chemo also caused my hands to break out in a really bad rash (Something called acral erythema or chemotherapy induced hand foot syndrome.). It also affected my airway. I had to get breathing treatments while in the hospital.
The doctor had stopped the Epirubicin (I was on three chemo meds. Look up FEC chemotherapy protocol.), which is thought to have affected my heart. I had been started on Taxotere and I was continued on Cytoxan. The Taxotere seemed to bring everything to a head. It looks like I will not be able to tolerate chemotherapy. I'm thinking that I will be started on the radiation treatments and Tamoxifen. I'll find out tomorrow (I meant Monday).
"paranormal activity", "the ninth gate", "the orphanage", "1408", and "the others" are a few i like to get the ball rolling..

i keep hearing this song on the radio, top 40's type of station.
i think it is a song from a new movie soundtrack, either "the dilemma" or "just go with it" or "no strings attached.
" i heard it when i was in the other room when the tv was on, and it was one of those movie trailers i think....let's hope i am not going batty here.. the song is done by an african american singer i believe, and it has that 70's funk, stevie wonder type of sound/vibe to it.
Cee Lo was on Saturday Night Live last week. The skit where Gwyneth Paltrow talks about the "forget" word is funny. Well, I thought it was funny.
