a few months ago i got a little french press from a thrift shop but i never used it.
last weekend i went to visit a good friend for a few days and i got my chance to use my little french press because my dear friend doesn't have a coffee maker which is kinda strange cuz he loves coffee just as much as i. .

Hello Wasblind and RosePetal. I started a different regimen of chemo about three weeks ago. The cocktail consists of Cytoxan, Methotrexate, and Fluorouracil. The previous two regimens each caused additional health problems. I have to go in every week for six month to get the chemo treatment.
The regimen that I'm on now seems to be letting my hair grow back. I'm still pretty much bald! Maybe, it'll look like a buzz cut in another month!
Thanks for asking! ((hugs))

I didn't know that you had been having health problems. I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad to hear that you don't have leukemia! I hope that your lab values continue to improve!
Sylvia, I'm glad to hear that you don't have Crohn's disease too. I hope that you are starting to feel better.

The Smell of Coffee
by snowbird ini've returned to work, and, at the request of my long-suffering boss, am taking it slow and easy.. he has just put on a pot of joe; the aroma is overpowering.. one of my earliest memories is getting up around 5 am to share a morning cup with my papa.. i must have been around 2 or 3 at the time, because my parents separated when i was going on 4.. papa taught me to read from the maxwell house coffee can, having me read the words, good to the last drop to him each morning.. whenever i get a whiff of coffee brewing, i am taken back to those long-ago mornings in a lamplit cabin, sitting on my father's knee, sipping coffee and reading to him, basking in the glow of his praise and love.

I love the smell of coffee brewing in the morning too. I just can't drink it like I use to. I can tolerate about a 1/2 a cup a day. It makes me jittery now. I guess going through menopause had something to do with it. Sometimes, I try to sneak in a second 1/2 cup later in the day.
I'm glad that to hear that you are filling better!

Has anyone left still believing it was the truth?
by FollowedMyHeart init seems that most xjws have left because at one point in their jw life something happened that made them start to think something wasn't right with the religion.
when i left, i still believed the jws had "the truth".
i was dying inside, trapped and unhappy (another poster's words, but describes exactly how i felt).

I disassociated myself about a year after I got baptized. I didn't have the "love for the whole fellowship. . ." And I didn't like going out in field service. I pretty much thought that I was a goat that was going to get destroyed at Armageddon. I couldn't imagine myself being happy in a world where you could pet wild animals and all of that stuff. .. I don't know why I thought it was "the truth"? I guess it was because the first thing that they taught me at bible study was that "the demons would try to interfere in my studying" and that "it could be your own family that the demons used". smh Pure mind control at the very beginning.
Thank goodness for the Internet!

I've figured out the cause of all the recent turmoil on JWN....
by Mr. Falcon inever since i've started posting here regularly, there has been upheaval, threats of leaving and threats of banning by many active contributors.
people have spoken their minds and have been chastised; people have attacked others and threads have been locked.. well, after reading my bible, i've determined the cause of all this.

I'm a clique of one...
by mrsjones5 ini'm a loner.. offline, i have few friends.
the friends i do have are dear to me but i'm bad at communicating with them, meaning i don't call often.
facebook has been a boom with me cuz i can keep contact with folks i really care about without being constantly in contact with them which would drive me crazy.. on this board i haven't got too deep with folks.
