They need to start doing random pat downs at the least. And I know they have a thing where you walk though and it puffs air on you to check for explosive residue and have a bomb sniffing dog walking through the security area. I know they have dogs checking for produce walking around checking for that smuggle banana...they really need to have bomb dogs walking the place these days. I know my suitcase once tested postive for explosives. There were no explosives in it.. and they turned that thing in sideout. I think it was resuidue that came off my dads hunting coat that got on the suitcase cause there stored near each other.

" (1 pet 2:17) there may be a proper time and place for some actions that would be inappropriate at a christian meeting.
(eccl 3:1) for instance, suppose someone sought to have all in a group link arms or hold hands during prayer.

by Aussie Oz inhaving a look through the march wt pdf and noticed the graph showing the growth of jws and did a little basic math.
now math was not my strongest subject at school so i can stand some correcting on this if need be... but anyway, a little fun with numbers:.
1970; 1'483'000 is a growth of about 390% (av 19.5% per year).

I wonder if they still count those who have "fallen way" not disfellowshiped but just stopped coming to meetings. I know some who only show up for the memorial. I wonder if there still counted. Then there is the high publisher count. cause everyone has there KIDS adn bible studies turning in time..and how many of those kids or studies get baptized. I think the WT does pad the numbers.

Ya know with there stand on the blood issue ya wonder if that brother who vomited for 90 days stopped vomiting cause he died. I remmeber when they used to give crazy example of people enduring at the assemblies, ya don't hear too many of them anymore. Maybe people started facted checking.. and why was that kid beat up cause he WON"T pray??

Well one problem is there is no set standard for WHEN your in the ministry.. some people will ONLY count the time that they personally are at the door. (I knew a sister who did that..) others count time when the leave there house. Ususally doing a call along the way to the hall before you go over the text. Others won't count a break, coffee or potty. Other will sit in teh coffee shop for 30 minutes at least eatting donuts and drinking coffee with mag sitting next to them so "people know who we are!" (never understood that, so people no witness eat donuts like pigs..yeah great recuitment image there. So in the end the time tally is already off. Cause they maybe TOLD to keep accurate records, but no one really knows how! lol What pissed me off was the time the whole family was sick then vacation and we missed like every meeting for a month. Not one person called to check up on us, though later they told us they missed us. LOL and no elder called. Well til it was the end of the month to get our field service report. Never said one word about how we were, barly a "HI" just wanted the numbers.

Yeah ya know it's sad but it wasn't a Bible study til I went on a study with someone. And I rememeber the sister explaining that the literature was a "bible study aid". as the study went on I realized what BS that was. Cause an "AID" is like a dictionary, you use it to assist with your learning. But in there studies the BIBLE was the Publication Aid. Sad that it had to be THAT far into to start noticing something wasn't right. Still scares me how easily I fell for that stuff. Only left me with a heighten sence of paranoia....

I overheard a nauseating conversation . . .

" i turned and knew the nature of the source of the comment immediately, judging by the polyester pantsuit and delusional "deer in headlights" look on her face.
her companion replied, "but i like celebrating christmas and don't see anything wrong with it.

see the thing is WORLDLY parents ALSO buy there kids presents all year round. THey make it sound like the only time kids get ANYTHING at all is on christmas and there birthday! REALLY??? I honestly hardly got anything, sides toys when I was really young. After I was old enough for an allowance I had to use that to buy my own toys. And even then I couldn't buy what I wanted. No water pistols...though once I had a water pistol shaped like a Banana..which I find kinda hysterical when I think about the subtext of that and all. I knew and elders family who had a "big present day" it was on the day before the kids went back to school from christmas vacation. Yup big difference!!

I'm starting to tell on my husband
by tiffy0212 inyesterday a brother called the house and asked for my husband.
i told him i'm sorry he is doing his study and i will not call him to the phone.
i told him we do not talk to each other and he would have to call him back around 11:30. he called back around 11:40 and sure sounded different then his first call.

Tiff all I can say is he can't walk on you if you don't lay down and let him.
Elders don't care how he treats you I'm sure, cause your not "in the group" and lord knows what he says about you to them. I'm even heard of ELDERS making tapes of there wives after they got them all worked up and agry to tell on them and make themselve look good. So I agree, if it's that bad, obviously he doesn't really love you..wipe the dust off your feet and move on. You have to be your own advicate, he obviously won't be and the elders won't be either, in there mind it's all your fault. Stupid old boys club.
