sometimes when we face difficult situations i feel the need to pray to god for help, and i know that plenty of times the sole act of praying makes you feel hope and have a better outcome of the situation.
you can call it suggestive or that you prepare a positive scenario by using faith.
the outcome is that regardless if there is someone who listens or not to your prayers oftentimes you feel better afterwards and have more positive attitude.. the problem is that i dont believe in god anymore.
Every now and then I speak to the universe.
"Dear universe. As you well know, everything is in balance. What goes around comes around. So please let what's due to me come around soon."
Of course that doesn't help because the universe can't be reached by prayer. It just carries on. But what goes around does come around eventually.
i am calling all who are willing and able to partake at this years memorial.
the figure is growing and if reports are to be believed the numbers are made up mostly of experienced and long serving bros and sis!
the numbers for last year have not been as high as in 1967. with the youngest gb for decades!.
I was taught that the "Annointed" aren't superior to the "Other Sheep" -- they are merely different.
So I would like to see Jehovah's Witnesses start an annual memorial thing where the "Annointed" get together and pass a sheepskin around.
It's good to brush your scalp each day. If hair gets in the way then so be it.

but, i don't see that as a bad thing.
he asked me over lunch if i think it's wrong and i told him no.
we discussed why the society says it's wrong and i told him why i don't agree with it and he agreed.
Two words..... LIFE CONTROL.
Look, I don't personally think that the mind-set behind get-rich-schemes, on whatever scale, are healthy.
But where your own family stands on that is up to YOU to discuss and evaluate! How you earn your money is your own business, as is how you fantasize about earning more, as is how you spend it.

i believe she didn't see many other religions speaking out against sex before marriage and abortion.. and so she drew relatives and her own children down into the trap, the morass, the molasses, of anti blood transfusion and end-of-the-world clap-trap thanks to her well-believing sexual morality.. anybody else with family trapped because of the "morality" of jehovah's witnesses?.

i just went to the silentlambs website and there is a link to criminalcheck.com where you can find registered sex offenders by zip code.
so i typed in the zip code of the territory from my old congregation and i was surprised at how many people popped up.
there was three pages of names and on almost all of those names i recognized the street address as one that i went door-to-door on.

The kids do not want to even be out service but they just want to hang out.
We would go out and work apartment blocks in groups aged from about 10 to 21, when I was around 16/17. There would be one or two very young Ministerial Servants 'leading' us, and these male 17 to 21 year-olds were considered the adults in the party.
The main reason we'd all be doing this was for the hanging out afterwards, the parent-free milkshakes at some dodgy restaurant on the street below.
I recall once when a 17 or 18 year old girl and I were sitting locked inside the apartment of an older 'householder' and he asked if he could take the two of us, two attractive teenage girls, out for a meal at some other time, without discussing the Bible.
I had a big WTF??!! moment right then. What were we doing there?

Any poster here who has been on a Hospital Liaison Committee? I think most active JWs don't realize how many blood transfusion options they actually have.
That would be a great reference for those of us who have loved ones still trapped in the cult.
