  Mill Hill Disfellowshippings

  a few months ago there was a thread about a couple of elders at the mill hill bethel being disfellowshipped because they disagreed with some wt doctrine (i can't recall exactly what it was) and that several other betheliteswere under 'investigation'.

  i haven't heard anything since, does anyone know anything more about this?.

  All Right I'm a Little Freak Out-> Psyhic Thread Warning!

  okay here's what happened:.

  my sister who i'm living with just came down stairs to tell me she was on the internet with her daughter and husband talking to this psychic and she was all nervous and excited.. she know i don't believe in the stuff, btw the last two girlfriends i had lived with on and off were both claiming to be psychic, and they were 40-60% correct but i could see that what they predicted were mainly driven by their own ego's, so i never put much stock in what they did just humor them.. so she said that this guy(psychic) was 100% correct.

  she asked him questions like:.

  i haven't.. i propose that a shift, a change, begins here, spearheaded by those who are still "in".

  what's the worst thing the organization could do to you?.

  show some love to the next vulnerable disfellowshipped person you meet and speak to them, show them some humanity, some understanding.. if you're disfellowshipped yourself write an email today to someone you love who is not "permitted" to speak to you.. report back on here if it makes some kind of difference..

  Ah, I haven't read Ray Franz's Crisis of Conscience.

  Does anyone have experience in their own life of DF'ing based on speaking to a DF'ed person? I believe we could start something here, pull the stupid mat from under their controlling feet.

  the last thread turned into an apostate war which i found highly entertaining and did not want to hijack the direction it is going in.. however, what has completely tickled my fancy is the fact that almost 20,000 jw's are publicly thumbing their nose at the g.b.

  counsel about these social sites.

  these members have somehow justified in their minds their being there.

  Respectfully I disagree with you, treadnh2o. I hope the organization doesn't come down hard on the 20,000 people bucking the rules. Good for them, despite the inane drivel some of them post on that wall.

  I'll repeat the essence of what I said in a PM here to a fellow "apostate" poster on the Watchtower group. We identified one of the mods down to his congregation and telephone number and my co-boardist asked whether I think he should be outed to his congregation or circuit overseer.

  I believe absolutely not. We don't play by the rules of the organization, and first prize would be to get him questioning and ideally reading and posting here.

  So, Robert de Jong, if you ever find your way here, a very warm welcome to you!!

  Mouthy's around. This post by her 15 hours ago on Zoiks's thread about reconnecting with his sister broke my heart....

  It gives me hope that one day my grand daughter & daughter will contact me before I die

  I want to shake her daughter awake. Granny Mouthy is much loved by so many people here.

  Does Peter Price post on here?

  I loved the way Dave and Peter's personalitites are so completely different, their reasons for being Witnesses were so different, and yet I recognized in both of them so many people I knew.
