Didn't a similar thing happen earlier on with the Bible Students and the "cross and crown" pin that they later abandoned?
how long will it be before witnesses start getting jewellery made up with jw.org as the pendant?.
can you imagine a nice gold neck chain, with a diamond jw.org hanging from it?.
or a small ring with the logo on it?.

i have seen many witnesses with 4,5,6,7 kids.
no problem with that.
they are mostly loving families but today i experianced the birth of my son.. the emotions of my wife... the pain... the fear... the hope combined with the joy of the birth and seeing my wife reaction when she held the baby was well balanced.. .
Not believing in God or Eve's curse obviously also helps in not expecting a bad birth experience.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby. I have had two homebirths and do not think of them as overly painful experiences at all. Our bodies are made for this, in many cases the "problems" in labour are created by drugs/fear/lack of movement. The actual incidence of complications without these things would be very very low. Hospitals have their place, but much of the time they interfere and cause the problems they then fix. Women in general are also trained by society from a young age to fear birth and that their bodies are ill-equipped for the task, this becomes a self fulfilling prophecy for many.
i went with my neighbor to an outdoor shooting range in the pawnee national grasslands in colorado.
its about 2 hours northeast of denver.
it was awesome.
The pic of your 5 year old boy poised with a weapon capable of killing a human with a single trigger squeeze i find disturbing. Why would you want to instruct a child in gun use? You say people who don't shoot don't understand how good it is to squeeze the trigger? That feeling is power. I find it sickening that some people place such ahead of their concern for the risk it poses to their family. If you lived in a war torn country maybe I could understand, but is life really that dangerous you need a gun where you live?! Without the gun being loaded its pretty useless as a defence against a surprise intruder anyhow.

well just like everyone else, we were visited by 2 old ladies.
mr. rebel8 was home and it went something like, "we're on a worldwide mission and we wanted to know if we could just leave this in your door.
" so he said ok and took it (because he knew i'd have fun with it later).. the tract reads like a note i passed to a boy in 1st grade:.
I am saddened by the comments regarding not being bothered about helping people trapped in the cult. Remember many (most) JWs are born-ins. Some of the biggest light bulb moments for me as a teenager came from discussions with "people in the field". I am grateful they told me what they knew as although none of their comments made me immediately leave, the puzzle pieces came together over the years.
have you ever come across words that resonate with you?
it doesn't have to be a great gem of wisdom, just something that is meaningful to you.. please share, and if you want to, tell us why it's meaningful to you.. here is something that made me nod when i first read it.... .
"fortunate are those who have learned to see, in the wild things of nature, something to be loved, something to be wondered at, something to be reverenced, for they have found the key to a never-failing source of recreation and refreshment".
Happiness is not a destination, it is a way of travel.
Be the change you want to see.
for me, it took many years.. even when i would read all the changes over the years from the "truth", i still would ignore it and "wait on jehovah" and try to be a positive force in the congregation.. eventually, i just couldn't take it anymore and resigned as an elder, and slowly but surely made my fade.. what about you?
were you out, in a short or longer time?
?.
Very quick. Once I learned TTATT my husband and I left cold turkey. Some well meaning witnesses, to their credit, visited us and offered support, but when we acted like nothing was wrong and we were fine they pretty much left us alone. The witnesses are still friendly to us in our town but one of my own brothers shuns me. Go figure.
"Be the change you wabt to see" is something I take very seriously!
