  Where is the Writing Department?

  with the printing facilities for the magazines having been moved to canada, can anyone tell me where the writing department is now located?.

  Magazines printing consolidated in Canada.

  Books, Brochures, Tracts, etc printing consolidated in Brooklyn. Writing committee is still in Brooklyn, the only place where God's holy spirit makes deep truths known.

  Don't forget to take probiotics after you've done your antibiotics (it's a waste to take them while you're taking your antibiotics, because the antibiotics will just kill them before they do anything).

  does anyone know what book will be used for the next book study after this book?.

  I'm no longer up to date on the meetings schedule. Wasn't the book study scrapped, and replaced with a family study night? Also heard rumblings of shortened Sunday meetings.

  "Book Study" had the name changed to "Congregation Bible Study", was merged with the "Theocratic Ministry School" and "Service Meeting" (which were both reduced by 10 minutes each to make room for the 20 minute congregation Bible Study). Unfortunatley it's not really a Bible study, it's still a book study, and you still look up the Bible texts to "prove" what the book says.

  The Sunday public talks are now 30 minutes.

  Those are the best changes the Faithful slave has implemented recently :)

  It's a "commentary" on Acts of Apostles with lots of application for modern day witnesses today about the preaching work.

  WItnessing work in Hong Kong

  i was in hong kong recently, which is a lovely country but very much a big city where people live differently because of it.

  on one of our days we were walking to the ferry through a covered walkway and there were heaps of people handing out all sorts of leaflets to passerbys, you couldn't walk 10 steps without someone trying to give you their leaflet.

  i was surprised when we came across about half a dozen witnesses trying to hand out magazines.

  Witnessing work is done a lot like that in Hong Kong. Especially since in the rest of the mainland the preaching work is banned. Chinese travellers can get literature this way. A publisher can place hundreds of magazines a month this way. Some even set up booths in high traffic areas.

  i've been out for 11 years and working on an assignment of what jw teens are into now, stuff that's seen as borderline where they can participate, but only to an extent.. an example pre-internet: we could skateboard, but couldn't be punk rock, so we hung out with the punk rockers at skate ramps and our parents didn't know.. what are the jws saying regarding:.

  Facebook: Every assembly they warn against the dangers of facebook, but lots still have it
  Internet porn: We usually get reminders almost every assembly and have articles about combatting internet porn. No one admits to looking at it.
  Video Games: GTA, Call of Duty, whatevers popular and violent may get a mention. Recent Watchtower had a picture of a boy playing an M-Rated game getting counsel

  Conspiracy theory

  i am a writer by nature so my imagination runs wild sometimes.

  i always tend to fabricate scanarios that have a measure of feasibility.. check this one out:.

  according to the new world order conspiracy theory the ideal population for the earth is only 500,000. some think that there have been groups of people throughout history that have attempted to or have furthered an agenda to "depopulate" the earth.. this got me to thinking, who would these 500,000 "new world starter set" people be?
