  as most of you know, my husband and i da's ourselves almost 8 months ago.

  the communication with my family stayed pretty normal.

  they would call once in a while and text me.

  sending them all an email saying how i feel and then just letting them know that i will be disconnecting from them from now on.....

  I wouldn't say that YOU'RE going to be disconnecting them. Don't let them put the blame on you. If anything I would emphasize your love for them and let them know that you'll always be available to talk should they one day decide that shunning family members because of they changed their religious beliefs is not the way of love ("Is it Wrong to Change Your Religion?", Awake! 2007 Jul p.29). When they pull the "you left Jehovah" card, it's good to explain that you don't feel you left him because either you don't believe in God anymore, or You don't believe that God is using the organization, or whatever is the case.

  the brothers in the writing department that cooked up the "overlapping generations" for jws, is hard at work on next years district conventions talks and books.

  that clearly show that this man did not presume to know the exact means of jesus loss of life.

  praying for a jw partner

  during my early 20ies while studying the bible, and many years after babtizm, i never dated even one sister!

  my cong was like in nomansland, and consisted of many older jws.

  so it was pretty depressing as a young brother without the slightest hope of finding an appropriate partner.. but one day, a very hot looking sister joined our club for a while, so all of a sudden, there were all types of dudes from other congs coming to our meetings.. i don t know how this conversation came about, but one jw gave me the advice, not to mention a persons name in prayer, because god will know who the right sister will be a suitable partner.

  I think it was mainly "practical wisdom" he just didn't want you to be dissapointed if it didn't work out, or feel like God didn't answer your prayer.

  Will you celebrate New Year?

  in sweden the tradition is to eat lobster and fillet of beef and champagne of course!

  party, dance and party more with family and friends.. i've never attended a real new year party (for obvious reasons) but it would be nice sometime.... i'm happy that my boyfriend will come and join me from the north.

  some times i find it hard to stay awake until midnight though.

  yes the elders made another stop to continue to try to get me back to the meetings.

  my main argument with them has been the incorrect dates.

  607, 1914. they said i need to stop focusing on dates.
