  i hate to exercise, therefore i haven't really ever done it, and stuck with it.

  i've had 6 children, and am quite sedentary.

  i get really bad migraines when my blood pressure rises, hence hating excercise.. .

  Agreed, but some people have such things as Ischeamic Heart diease, Arthritis, Angina, Asthma, Diabetes and as the first poster said Thyroid problems.

  Some people are lucky, or have strong willpower and can stay thin all their lives.

  Many, many of us can`t.

  If I`d had six kids (now that would be something, my wife had one, and I didn`t gain a pound, it has cost me many £££s though over the last 17 years), I`d not really expect to look like Kate Moss.

  I don`t know if it`s available in the USA, but here in the UK they are prescribing a drug called Orlistat, it stops your body absobing fats in your diet. I tried it and it does work, but the downside is that you will spend a lot of time in the rest room! if you know what I mean.

  It`s now an over the counter drug in the UK, but it is quite expensive.

  Obviously, diet and exercise are the real solutions, but it is very hard to get into, epecially if you have any medical conditions that restrict your mobility.

  Vodka and grapefruit?, never tried that, but it`s not as fattening as Beer, or my favourite Guinness, I think, although all alcohol is really empty calories. But whatever gets you through the day.

  As for pictures of youself, just do what I have with my picture here, its me when I was a dub, 25 years ago!

  I don`t mean to advertise or anything, so if I`ve broke any rules could the Mods please delete this post, as I don`t want to get into trouble.

  I cannot understand how this isn`t viewed as attempted suicide, and then the patient could be sectioned under the mental health act, and treatment would then be compulsary.

  But then again, I think that compulsary treatment under section 2 only applies to psychiatric medicines.

  Then let them argue it out in court, at least his life could have been saved.

  To quote from the film Full Metal Jacket - " The dead know only one thing,,, it`s better to be alive!" (apologises to S. Kubrick)

  What a waste of a life.

  Joshua McAuley, 15, suffered life-threatening injuries to his legs and abdomen after being pinned against a shop front by an out-of-control car as he went to buy sweets.

  He survived the crash in Smethwick, West Midlands, and remained conscious, but lost a massive amount of blood and was airlifted to hospital for a transfusion.

  But Joshua died six hours later, after he refused to consent to the operation because of his faith, church representatives said.

  Under medical law, doctors are required to decide whether a child under 16 is
  competent enough to consent to or refuse medical treatment without the need for parental permission or knowledge.

  Sources at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust suggested doctors followed this law, known as the Gillick competence test, before deciding Joshua was able to make his own decision.

  It is unclear whether either of the boys’ parents were at the hospital at the time.

  Last night members of his congregation described how he told doctors ‘no blood, no
  blood, no blood’ after he was flown to Selly Oak Hospital, in Birmingham.

  As a Jehovah’s Witness from a devout family, Joshua followed the belief that blood is sacred and transfusions are prohibited by the Bible.

  Hospital staff are thought to have begged the teenager to change his mind, but he

  Move to the UK, then you can watch the BBC.

  If you can stand the constant left-wing whinging.

  thursday while doing business in a urban city, i came across a very frequent scene:.

  6 or so witlesses pioneering and doing their piosneer strut.. 1: older man, 50ish.

  1: 16-20ish man.

  When I was in, my GF used to work 3 days a week in a shop, and then pioneer the other 2 work days and Sat. morning, she never claimed the "dole" as we call unemployment benefit here in Blighty.

  There, that`s the first positive thing I`ve said about the woman in 22 years.

  Won`t happen again.

  I think you are just being British, and we Brits tend to be a bit reserved, and not as openly talkative as some other nationalities tend to be.

  Nothing to worry about, being shy is a normal thing to be, and as you get older, it may fade away, or not.
