  Some thing for woman to think about

  almost all woman want to get married and have children.

  if you are a faithful jw woman there is a good chance this will never happen.

  70% of jw are woman and 30% are men.

  Being a JW in many ways is worse for women, why do I say this because:

  1. As you say your chances of finding a descent partner who you are truly compatible with are very low if not nonexistent

  2. You have no status or position and as such no voice

  3. Are treated like idiots by the men (particularly Elders and MS's)

  4. Are expected to pioneer, clean the hall, visit the sick etc because you have nothing else to do (so say dumb ass Elder & MS's)

  5. Have to dress, walk, talk etc to please others, heaven forbid you should stumble someone by showing a bit of leg or too much cleavage

  I could continue, but you get the picture.

  I just had my first child

  baby girl, 6 lbs, 14 oz, 19-3/4in, looks like me they say.... still in awe... there were some complications, but mom and baby are doing good.

  baby's down the hall in nicu and it still doesn't feel real.. .

  Is youth a time for anger and cults?

  i'm 26 years older than i was when i got started as a jw.

  i was a hurt and angry young man who wanted a world that was a better place, a place where it was ok to be ok and not the same.

  i think maybe my anger and hurt helped to blind me from how angry and hurt everyone in the world really is and was and will be and perhaps this is one more reason the idea of a paradise following swiftly on the deaths of billions was not so much a trouble for my self-absorbed mind.. i wanted to believe and i convinced myself..

  Sweety you need professional help!!!

  All of us realise at some point that we are mortal and will die, but your reaction from an early age seem extreme and only through therapy will you get to the bottom of why you feel the way you do.

  Just because what you believed has proved to be wrong doesn't mean you’re back to square one it just means there is more to learn and different possible answers to explore.

  Don't become so afraid of death that you become frightened to live.

  The sad thing is that youth should be a golden time that you look back on with a smile and a wicked glint in your eye.

  You were not angry because you were young, but because of what may have been happening in your life at that time. Angry is not the exclusive right of youth nor is vulnerability to cult indoctrination it can happen at any age. Otherwise the cong's would be full of young people instead of the elderly and grey haired.

  I just can't pray anymore not even when my baby was in special care. It’s not that I don't believe in a higher power it’s that if one exists they either don't care or have a lot of explaining to do.

  I remember my last prayer vividly asking why I had been abandoned, since then the more I think about things the more I can't equate a caring God with the injustice and suffering of so many good and innocent people. In my heart I hope there is an answer and that one day I will understand, but for now I will learn to trust in others and my own inner strength.

  I had to hurt my kids this weekend... it sucks

  i have been in a world of pain this weekend.. some of you know the ongoing battle i have had with my ex wife, an uber dub hypocrite, over seeing my kids more.

  3 weeks ago i managed to secure an agreement from her that provided my 13 yr old daughter friday night to sunday afternoons and for my 16 yr old son to have friday night to sat afternoon with the option to extend it to sunday if he so desires.

  this is each second weekend.. first due weekend visit she rearranged the days so that she was technically pre agreement start date.

  Oz don't feel guilty you had to lay it on the line for the ultimate benefit of your kids. In the end they know that you love them and will fight for them rather than backdown for a quiet life.

  I know you don't want to put pressure on your children, but they needed to understand that they have to support the agreement if they want to keep a relationship with you. Overtime your ex's tactics may well backfire as they come to see that the time they get to spend with you is much happier and less stressful than the guilt filled cult manipulation they experience with her.

  fyi : my wife and i each sent a da letter to the org, and our hall one an a half years ago.. we were done with this religion completely .

  this morning at 10:45 a jw appeared at our door, we invited him in and he said the org.

  had a "loving arrangment" in which persons who left.

  You have my commiserations it’s never nice to find a dub fookwit at your door.

  I'm lucky hubby Spawn scares the crap out of most of them so they tend to stay away except when they visit my mum which is rare and always unannounced.

  My advice have a nice beverage of your choice and remember how happy you are now you’re not part of their stupid deluded world.
