  today is st george's day the patron saint to england.

  he is also the patron saint of a few other countries like germany plus a fair few cities so he does get around a bit.. have a happy st george's day everyone .

  Birthday confusion! help!

  i'm ( yes moi) organising a birthday party for a 50 year old, but i need to know, at what point in the party is the cake supposed to be presented???.

  i have no idea, and feel too embarrsed to ask a "worldly".

  Yes think of it as the desert course.

  Also make sure you have the cake candles lit, lights dimmed and everyone is primed to sing happy birthday.

  my obsessed jw relative had another witness come and visit for a few weeks in her home.

  the witness woman is around 225 lbs.

  I stopped doing yoga for a while after I read an Awake article several years ago, but I don't remember anything about being possessed. As I recall the point was that it was linked to various forms of false worship. In the end I would rather do a yoga class any day than sit in a JW meeting.

  It's amazing how JWs change things from personal choice to cause for stumbling to false worship to she's possessed by demons. They are all a bunch of crazies.

  why's it so hard to find them?

  it seems like everyone i see around me smokes: my apartments, every job i've ever had, people on the streets.

  finding a quality guy that smells good and has a functioning brain not strung out on drugs or alcohol every week is hard to find..

  Have you tried internet dating sites?

  One lady I used to work with found her hubby that way and even this guy I know who is the most techie if geeks found a girlfriend.

  ....my final jw relationship.. i did it.

  i killed the relationship.. my cousin rick and i had been inseparable as jw's.

  rick is five years my junior, and in many ways i tried to look out for him like a little brother when we were younger.. i have wrestled with an on again/ off again attempt to stay in touch with rick since i left jw's.

  Oh Jeff its always sad and often painful when someone we care about leaves our lives for whatever reason. However, knowing its final over will in a sense allow you to final grieve for your lost cousin and move forward.

  What would Jesus Christ say if he returned today?

  this was always one of the main justifications for me in leaving the wt behind.

  i was just wondering how many of you have ever reasoned in the same way.. i have often wondered how jesus christ would react if he came back to the earth now and how he would view the organisation who claim to represent his standards?.

  would jesus really want to be associated with paedophilia, false prophecies, shunning, the destruction of families, lies, untruths, hypocritical leaders and the lack of love amongst members?.

  ok i listening in for the meetings and will probably go to the special talk sunday, they are having it this week because of the special assembly day last weekend.. i am doing this for a very good reason but it is driving me crazy listening to this stuff.

  i need to vent of else i feel i will go crazy.

  it is so stupid.. ok so last night was the question box and it was about recording the public talks.

  the jws had obviously , just called , wish i had answered the door ,i looked through the awake and on page 20 , it refers to if you make criminals your companians ,you are more likely to end up one , or words to that affect !

  so in the publics version they use the term "criminals " and i presume the jw only (koolaid)version the word "criminal"is replaced with anyone who is not a jw !

  how misleading this cult is , dont the jws ever compare the public and koolaid versions and see how misleading they are ?
