OMGoodness!! That is really creepy thinking! I thought the society said diversity was because Jehovah didn't create robots......well maybe he didn't but the WTS certainly did!! truman thinks his world is real, but it's an illusion, part of an elaborate hoax.
the clues are all around him that things are not quite right: his distant wife; running into his dead father in the street; the strange messages he picks up on his car radio talking about him and watching his movements.

Your remarks are an inspiration... when recently I really decided I had to leave and I would no longer look through rose coloured glasses I thought....'what about all of those poor people who are ignorant of the fact that this has all been and will continue to be a lie?'.... it really bothered me. I wanted to go to the hall and take the mike and tell them in no uncertain terms about all of the things I have learned about the precious society. I know that although I have the same 'zeal' to anti-witness, on an individual level, it is a decision that affects everyone differently. the consequences will be different for all as I have no family in the hall...but so many I know do have. the best that I can do, so not to be a false friend is to subtly and slowly put thoughts and ideas in their minds that hopefully will open their minds to independent thinking. I recently reached out to a really good friend who just moved out of Bethel in NY, and sowed seeds of what hopefully will be doubt. time will tell. Indoctrination is a terrible but formidable thing to combat. Even though I had doubts about certain things, it took a good friend to help me come to this realisation. Best of luck ...:)

Commentary on the Letter of James
by lepermessiah inzoiks inspired this thread when he mentioned this book elsewhere.. i have read other threads on this forum about it, but i always enjoy the fresh insight on here.. commentary on the letter of james was always my favorite book from wtbs, partly because i love the book of james, but also because it was one of the books that dealt with more practical christian living than constant wt doctrine.. i mentioned to a number of people that i loved that book, and got a few comments of "well, you know that book was written by an apostate.".
it didnt take me long to do a little math - that book came out i believe in 1979/1980, right around the time of the great purge.
how could someone write such an excellent book and then be branded an apostate just a few months later???.

I DID have the book...I went down to my library and can't find it! :( I have lots of other old books though. I'll see if I can get it somewhere. I read that Ray F. wrote it...wasn't that mentioned in COC??

Yes..it is the forerunner...I found it here in ireland in a 2nd hand shop! i got it for 5euros.... I think i have the first version...Ray Franz' version.. am looking forward to reading it...apparently there are a huge number of things that have changed from now.

Ex-Witnesses in Ireland...
by jdhf inhey there....i've been noticing that there are quite a few support groups in other countries for those who leave the 'truth'.
i am appealing to those who are in the emerald isle to see if there is any chance we can get together and enjoy 'real' association, being of same minds etc.
anyway... i will put this out there and hopefully those in ireland will get in touch and we can support each other!

Juli, I agree with you totally....
I have been a witness for officially 15 years this year and have unofficially left as of last summer....official exit pending.. anyway, I forwent celebrating my 2 daughters' birthdays and xmas etc., as I had faith the the WTS really knew what they were telling us to do. Thing is, I DID really believe that they were Jehovah's spokesmen and trusted them. I had loved b'days and not from a material point of view, but a personal one. my daughters never knew what it was like to have one and this year they will have their first. I have done lots of research on the subject and looked at many points of wiew, both secular and religious. I so not consider myself a pagan, and neither does my family. Both of my girls nearly died at various times in their lives from serious illness, and although I love them with all my heart every day, I want to celebrate the very day that I was blessed by them entering my live. We all do so many things that would have originally have had roots in paganism, and if we were to scrutinize everything...we simply wouldn't do very much.

DNA memory

there's a lot of weird, esoteric stuff out there concerning this, like you can somehow access your ancestors' memories.
that's not really what i'm talking about - to me, that sounds a little too fanciful.dna is a relatively recent discovery and obviously, there's still a lot to learn.

Sorry, but no.. After my intense study of genetics last year, it became clear what information is or isn't stored in the molecular scructure. Memories are only found in the brain, and do not make up any part of the DNA.
Memories are very powerful though and I do agree that neurologists still have only tapped into so little of the understanding of how the brain works. Best of luck with your research!

after much medical and scientific research I can unequivocally say that aspartame is potentially very dangerous. There are many reasons, but one that alarmed me is the proliferation among aspartame users of diagnoses of Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinsons Disease. The best thing to do is if you are not diabetic, to use sugar products, or those using natural honey. They are much easier synthesized by the body. If you check out genuine medical sites and university research sites you will find quite damaging and alarming information. Best of luck.
