You poor thing....please realise that you will not always feel like that...depression can be so frightening and one of the things we forget in those dark times is that it does end...it does lift. You need to seek medical advice or a second opinion. I don't know where you are based...but lots of us around the world are rooting for you!

wow...i feel not only for youngbro but for so many who have shared parts of their stories here. I'm suffering from severe panic disorder and it's proving dibilitating. I was on anti-d's for 13 years..and recently gave up..say last feb...then had a whole lot of trauma in my life and hey presto needed to go back on them..but they are proving ineffective. I feel like crap all the time and am panicky too most of the day. And because i suffer from AV node reentry tachycardia and ectopics I really don't need my heart rate elevated. I'm out two years...and still feel like I'm lost...and son't know what to believe. Lost. So i do understand the feelings you have. They are a bitch..and you have received lots of good advice from many wise people. I tried many times to get my science degree underway to be told I shouldn't be studying. So I stopped. Last year...I took up genetics, forensic science, molecular pharmacology, geology and astronomy. It's true as so many have said education can help. It will give you the tools you need in life to have a productive future. I really hope you get some inner peace. I'm still searching for some...but I have to believe I'll get there. Please do proper research on the organisation...Crisis of Conscience is a great place to start. It will really open your eyes as to the true nature of the organisation and will undoubtedly change your attitude to them. They are not god's organisation, and I think it will be easier for you if you realise this. I hope the best for you though. :)

HELP! Good Friend just told she is being disfellowshipped!!
by jdhf inhey... a good friend of mine was visited by 2 elders this evening..and after being treated like something you wouldn't want on your shoe...told her that her parents can no longer have anything to do with her 9 year old boy.
he is not baptized.. her dad is an elder and mum a long standing publisher...can they really insist that the grandparents ignore the child??
they babysit for him when she's at work...she would have to leave her job, and she lives in their house too..although they live elsewhere...her dad is researching this as he is obviously curious as to whether this is scriptural.

Yes billy I was thinking that. At least you guys could encourage her! Sinis....they let her live in the house although they rent another. I'll look up the link for her. Her parents are staying put in the religion but obviously are not happy that they've been forbidden to see the child, as they adore him! The WTS is such an evil cult. I just wish it would become known worldwide how divisive they are. Thanks guys for your help! x

Well the other day she told her parents she had enough ..that her heart just wasn't in it anymore. They accepted it...but her little boy let slip that his mum is dating someone..not a witness..so her dad called in the heavies. I don't know if he expected this. He is not happy with the decision. Can they forbid them from seeing the grandchild though? They don't agree that it's right. I think that's why they were horrible to her. Over the dating. im sure thats why she's 'freed'..poor thing is so upset.

To be honest I never felt good enough as a witness.. I would chastise myself constantly over not being perfect.. who can really be like that.. live like that?? Its not normal life at all. I do miss some of my friends though that I loved lots and It's probably better they live away from me. And having lived in a 'divided' home, I was rarely invited to anything. I have some amazing friends now...some who have left the borg...and admittedly some who don't know I've left. Life is hard enough without us all feeling like we're not good enough...or not living up to a ridiculous standard. And never mind the hypocrisy..that's another thread. :)

I have shingles
by coffee_black ini was officially diagnosed today.
started out a little over a week ago with pain in my back, and a week ago the rash appeared.
according to the dr, it seems i have been through the worst, and should clear in a week or so.

I thought I had it a few weeks ago...thank goodness the rash was something else...but i really do sympathize with you. The neuralgia can be awful. I hope you have a speedy recovery and don't suffer with it too long! :)

Dear Gaila....your eloquent articulate and even sadly poetic words accurately and succinctly depict your situation with your family. I am so sad for you and what you have suffered at the hands of those you once trusted with your life. i can only hope for you that some day soon your daughter and grandchildren will have their eyes and hearts opened with the real truth of the organisation to which they so closely adhere. My thoughts and hopes are with you at this awful time for you. The Witnesses destroyed my faith and hopes for the future and I battle internally constantly with not knowing the truth any longer. You have my profound sympathy and love as a fellow human and i'm sure many will agree that you shouldn't lose hope. I never thought I would leave but the truth shared by a fellow former witness opened my eyes and heart to the truth of the organisation and you need to have faith your family may follow suit.x
