What your first realization of hypocrisy in this Religion?
by days of future passed inmy mother became a witness when i was five and i believed that every witness followed what was said at the meetings and the instructions given.
my naive belief carried on until maybe i was 10?
at the old conventions, volunteers would come early and pack fruit into net bags so that it could be sold at lunch.

surely he should as he has on past experience in the old testament now approach a world leader of either the usa ,england ,russia ,china ,or the united nations or even israel and make his judgement`s known .?.
why has he been so quiet all of these years ?

To say that Jesus and the Apostles started the Jesus Myth Industry is like saying Robin Hood and his Merry Men started the myths about him.
No offense Phizzy, but history does not agree with that.

I have always found it interesting that people have recounted conversations or circumstances in great detail while they were dead somewhere else. Also that the vast majority of these NDE are Christian in nature

If you please Ratt,
What is your source of information? Not to sound snotty, but we are all only as smart as our sources of information. If your only source is the WTS, then you are quite possibly misinformed
There is only one God and his name is Jehovah.
And no one is claiming that Jesus raised himself from the dead... because he was dead. Thus someone else would need to raise him. If he could raise himself he would not be dead.

The JW funeral sales pitch . . .
by BereanThinker7 inso recently i attended a jw funeral.
i've been awake and faded for a bit now and so i already have realized the strangeness that is a jw funeral/memorial talk because its basically just a sales pitch to those attending that are non jws using a twist on the christian resurrection hope and barely speaks about the departed.
here's the thing that i noticed the that got me wondering, the pitch, at least at this talk, is given under the guise that it is what the fallen person wanted to be spoken at the funeral and as such its all about the "secondary" "great crowds" class hope.. so my question is had anybody ever attended the funeral talk for someone who claimed to be in the 144,000???.

Did they actually say the deceased wanted them to say that kind of stuff at the funeral, or did they just want you to make that assumption? Either way it's in horrible taste. A Baptist did that at my great grandmother's funeral and it pissed me off.
I've attended more than one JW wedding and funeral. Each time I attend, I get pissed too.

Who is The Lord?
by JW Answers inthe jehovah's witnesses believe that only the father is lord god, however by searching the scriptures we can identify that there are more than one person in the godhead, and the lord jesus as well as the holy spirit are lord.. for those who are interested in learning, feel free to watch this new video..

Cofty says
My challenge remains. Please describe the trinity simply in your own words, without self-contradiction and without resorting to esoteric theological terms.
My reply was
God, the Father is an awesome being. Too awesome for comprehension. He [although, not a male or female, but is a fatherly person] is so awesome that when he speaks, his word/s are alive. He is God and he spoke us into existence. His words are alive. His word is Jesus and he is not only the word of God in law, he is also the spirit of God's law. That's how awesome that God the Father is. Because Jesus is God's word [in spirit], Jesus has all of the authority of God the Father. He is like the hand of God. Now because God loves his word, which is alive. He loves his word with so much love that his LOVE is alive. That;s how awesome God is, that not only is his word alive, but his love is alive also. To me, his love is the Holy spirit. Not an active force, but true to the scriptures, showing all the attributes of a coherent being.
Was his challenge answered? I think 'yes'
What say you?

Sorry, I posted this on the wrong topic earlier.
God the Trinity rose Jesus from the dead according to the bible
In Acts 2:24, Peter says that “God raised [Jesus] from the dead” (see also Romans 8:11 and 2 Corinthians 4:14). Romans 1:4 (and possibly 1 Peter 3:18) seems to say that the Spirit raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11 clearly says that God will resurrect believers “through His Spirit”). And in John 2:19 Jesus predicts that He will raise Himself from the dead (see also John 10:18).
“God has raised . . . Jesus to life” (Acts 2:32). The Father is God, and the Father raised His Son to life on the third day after the crucifixion (Romans 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:4). The Spirit is also God, and the Spirit had a part in raising Jesus from the dead. The Son is also God, and the Son, too, was responsible for His own resurrection.
How can a dead man resurrect himself? Jesus was more than a man who died; He was the eternal Son of God incarnate. Wicked men could kill His body, but they could not change His eternal nature or diminish His divine power. In John 10:17–18 Jesus says something that no mere mortal could ever say: “I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again.” No one else in the history of the world has ever had the authority both to lay down his life and raise it up again.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25). He did not say, “My Father is the resurrection.” He claimed to be the resurrection Himself; life resides with Jesus, and He has authority over life and death (Revelation 1:18). Jesus is God. He could say He would raise up His body on the third day because He, being God, has power over death.
Who resurrected Jesus from the dead? God did, and by that we mean all three Persons of the Trinitywere involved. All three Persons of the Trinity participated in creation (1 Corinthians 8:6; Genesis 1:1–2). All three are involved in salvation (John 3:6, 16). And all three are responsible for the resurrection of Christ Jesus. So I guess the bible confirms the belief that God is a trinity. Go figure that one out.
