How Do JWs View The Bible?
by Vanderhoven7 inhere are some questions to ask visiting jws to help them realize their faith is not in the bible, but in men.. questions about how you view the bible.. 1. do you view the bible as the inspired word of god?
(ii tim.3:16).
2. do you believe the bible is written for everyone?

If you support the 2nd amendment right to have and bear arms, while defending your livelihood, then you understand that you are using these rights against people who aim to do you harm.
These criminal people certainly do not deserve to die, but they are engaged in criminal activity to say the absolute least.
OK, we agree
Now, if you oppose the 2nd amendment rights, BUT support abortion rights, then you have agreed to stop letting people defend their way of life but you would support the killing of people who have never done any harm in anyway. 100% innocent, not criminal.
Just saying, be knowledgeable about your rights and truth and consequences and protect those rights the best that you can before someone takes them away.

We should all teach our children not to steal, not to lie, not to abuse anyone's rights and to be held to their own actions' consequences.
Unfortunately, we live in a [somewhat global] society where culture defines truth as opposed to truth defining culture.
To say that it's an effing shame would be a gross understatement.

JWs want to preach right now so very badly, they feel the fish are biting
by BourneIdentity inthey know many people are fearful and feeling vulnerable due to world events.. but something i’ve always considered is how will they be better off by becoming a jw.
they can be a jw, but the world events still are happening causing everyone anxiety.
and no, jws are not immune from this, jws are more anxious and paranoid as ever right now.

"The Truth" - It's just a made up Reality Show
by stumbledbyothers injehovah is a made up name.
not god's real name.. therefore jehovah's witnesses is a made up name for a made-up god.. therefore when you got baptized, you got baptized in the name of a made up religion backed up by a made up god's name.. therefore jesus did not appoint the governing body since it wasn't in existence then.
no wonder the july 2020 wt tells you that you have to be convinced god has an organization.. what does this mean?

There are some 30,000- 40,000 different Christian sects/faiths.
39,999 started by men and women who thought that they knew better than the one and only church started by Jesus Christ himself. That is why the church that Jesus started is credited with giving the world charities, hospitals, old age homes, universities, the free market economy, etc, etc
All of the other 39,999 protesting churchs' fruits all together just cannot compare.
Who was that man that started the WTS again? Jesus? No. Just like WTS fruits. Non existent

1 Corinthians 15:26
by Doug Mason inyou will die.
i will die.
those who have gone before us, the great and the small, the powerful and the weak, have shared the common fate of dying.

On my previous post, let me clarify that I understand that being raised in the 'truth' is different.
We all give our parents the 'benefit of the doubt' and believe many things because we trust their honesty and integrity. That is a given.
But, if you were converted from what ever faith was your previous, and you fell for the 'millions living now will never die'. I dunno? A not nice selfish thought, and not very likely, historically speaking, to say the least

Thinking that you won't taste death?
Crazy, just plain crazy. Beyond being duped , it's a total disconnect with reality.

It seems all this mental energy could be made of better use..... Have you considered applying your intellectual acuities to something truly meaningful and constructive?
I agree with the better use of your mental energy. Jesus never said that we should use the bible as our guide to Christianity or life or anything like that. He did say "Do ALL that I have commanded you and I will be with you until the end of the age"
I don't think that you have realized that you have put all of your faith into someone else's interpretation of a Catholic book.
Make no mistake, the bible is a Catholic book compiled, propagated and protected by them. Somebody sold you on the idea that they knew a better interpretation then the people who gave it to the world. Of course, this type of thinking is at odds with basic common sense. The people who gave the world the bible would know better than a random group of unguided readers. That is why the WTS has a fluid interpretation of the scriptures that changes whenever they change leadership. Think about it.
The bible is not and never was a guide to Christianity, it is a tool used to instruct and correct moral questions and was/is used in the Catholic liturgy. Perhaps some serious studies into accredited historical sources would serve you with real truth instead of the corrupted truth that you have been taught. Tough pill to swallow I know. but...
