1. Go on vacation
2. Visit random Kingdom Hall where no one knows you
3. Use cell phone to record singing

do you think its morally wrong to have a desire to see the end of the jw organization?.
What happens when you copy and paste from Microsoft word?
Will people still be able to read my post without all that HTML code distracting them?

Do you think it’s morally wrong to have a desire to see the end of the JW organization?
If you had the ability would you put a stop to it?
What would happen to its members?
Where would they go?
What would they do now?
Would they still harvest resentment towards disfellowshipped people do you think?
How many people would off themselves when their paradise hope is lost?
Where would they go to find new hope?
What would be the aftermath of the end of the organization?
I want to know.
darn pretty too.. have you seen this video on how to help the victims of the haiti earthquake?
the website says that they're aiming for $10,000 and have reached 4,7000. not much, but it's probably $4,700 more that what the wt has donated to those poor people.. i love the bad publicity on the wt organization, and making a donation will help someone out there in haiti.
it's called exjws4haiti.com.. take a look: http://www.exjws4haiti.com/.
she has some good youtube videos as well
an old friend who knew i had always been "searching for truth" told me to read chapter 111 if nothing else , i did , and i dont know if im more scared than when i was in the cult or feel better for reading it (the latter, i think ) he said i should read the davinci code ,angels and demons , then the lost symbol but i feel guilty for reading stuff like that (you can take the girl out the truth but not the truth out the girl ) has anyone else read these books or knows about chapter 111 when it talks of revalation in the bible ?.
I am not a fan of Dan Brown's work. He purposely bends the truth to shape the belief systems of his readers.
Unless you are reading any of his books with the realization they are TOTAL fiction with a few truths spattered in very rarely I would say avoid.
Dan Brown even has the nerve to say that most of the content is based on TRUTH. It just simply isn't.
survivors shiver in turkey after quake kills 51by burhan ozbilici and suzan fraser, associated press writersmon mar 8, 3:39 pm etokcular, turkey hundreds of earthquake survivors huddled in aid tents and around bonfires monday in eastern turkey, seeking relief from the winter cold after a strong temblor knocked down stone and mud-brick houses in five villages, killing 51 people.http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100308/ap_on_re_eu/eu_turkey_earthquake/print;_ylt=aovcmz.3hc_i9x940453ssxbbbaf;_ylu=x3odmtbvajzzatfybhbvcwmxnqrzzwmddg9wbhnsawnwcmluda--.
monday's quake in eastern turkey followed deadly recent temblors in haiti and chile, but bernard doft, the seismologist for the royal netherlands meteorological institute in utrecht, said there was no direct connection between the three.. "these events are too far apart to be of direct influence to each other," he said.. richard luckett, a seismologist from the british geological survey, said there has not been a spike in global seismic activity.. "if there was a big increase in the number of magnitude 6.0s in the past decade we would know it, because we would see it in the statistics," luckett said.
"we haven't seen an increase in 7.0s either.".
Ha. That's a great quote.

quotes:.
it was all built on lies, mr. collbran said.
I have to give Trey Parker and Matt Stone a lot of credit. You might not believe it but their ONE cartoon about the exact beliefs of SCIENTOLOGY created such a stir of people trying to find out what that religion was all about. It's all been down hill ever since.
They are currently writing a musical on Mormanism to be performed live.
I wish they would write an episode about JW's but I don't think there is quite as much funny material as there is in the other two religions mentioned.
hello friend!.
you and i have something in common.
you and i are both faithful jehovah's witnesses.
Being born a witness I went through different stages.
I never got to the point where I fully listened to all the rules. I figured if I made it to 2 different meetings a week I was good. I'd come late, leave early. I'd watch R-rated movies, make out with girls, drink, go to clubs.
In my best year I pioneered but dropped off watchtowers at laundry mats as much as possible.
What's weird is when I really started to make "progress" and attempted to become an MS that's when I really started to do research and things started to bother me. I studied with an Elder one on one who gave me so many funny (ridiculous) stories that I plan on posting them through out the year on this board. It was really studying hard and that made me think about what I had been learning all my life.
Them saying "beware of what information lies out there" made me think, "what kind of knowledge is bad knowledge? we have a book that says knowledge leads to everlasting life, wait a minute?"
Instead of fading I just happened to move away and then stopped going. I read as much knowledge as I could (I'm not just talking about "apostate" info) I mean non-fiction like Terry said. I decided to go back to college. I did this because I went from a feeling like I was smarter than most of the worlds population to feeling like I was completely ignorant. College reversed that although I still feel ignorant but this is good... I'm thirsty for the right kind of knowledge.
With all the knowledge coming in I am still a student to the world is so many different ways.
Leaving, was like hitting the reset button on life.
The society does not give you an honorable way out of their deceptions. I still want to retire, oh believe me. However, I have a chip on my shoulder and there are so many good people being lied to that need to the brightest light possible - REAL KNOWLEDGE. My heart goes out to the disfellowshipped person who is struggling to get back in because they want to make God happy. If only they knew.
I am still trying to find my honorable way out (especially with the witch hunt that has ensued since my departure). There isn't a day that I am not wishing that the organization collapses within itself. The most honorable thing for me would be to be apart of that.
I began writing several different books and maybe one day I'll complete them when I'm capable enough.
this afternoon i was talking to one of my sons (25 yrs old) and he was telling me stories about how he felt as a young jw.
some of the stories were pretty sad.. it got me thinking ,, the elders were real "micromanagers" when it came to young kids at the meetings.. we were not allowed to bring books outside of the wt, no alphabet, picture, or counting type books .. also food was a big no-no.
when my kids were toddlers, we would bring cheerios, small stuff like that.. the wizards would bellow from the stage, "you should not feed your kids, take care of that before the meetings.. after that time, i still brought food with, we just made several trips down to the basement during the meetings.. out in service on a 95 degree day no shade, kids and parents were advised to keep your tie on.
I got sent to the back room because I brought of bottle of water to the meeting one time. It blew me away. You can't hydrate yourself during the meeting? Even on hot days?
I told them I brought it in because I had kidney stone problems. They said I needed to strip off the labels and drink it in the parking lot.
Pharisees!
there is always at least 2 or 3 really crazy persons in the kingdom hall.
the kind of person that when they raise their hand the speaker on stage knows he's taking a gamble if he calls on them - yet he can't discriminate.. anyhow, i remember one time a younger brother was doing sound and one of those crazy brothers was about to give his 5 minute talk (i forget what number that was, prior to them just reading scripture).
the crazy brother slipped the young brother doing sound a cd and said "play this when i get on stage".. well, he gets up on stage and all of a sudden hawaiian music starts playing... the man on stage just starts dancing.
Oh! I remember one time there was a talk on "VPL"... visible panty line. Hahahaha
