  Where do I begin?

  i'm new here but have been reading/lurking for several months.

  it's good to know that i'm not alone in my ex-jw status and that my story and experiences are not unique.

  i have no bitterness or anger anymore.... that's long gone since i left some 12 years ago.

  Goldensky thank you for you comments. My mother was from Gibralter as I said she was evacuated to England during the war I have relatives in spain and Gibralter. I was born in London it was very cosmopolitan and multi culteral. The congregations we attended had people from all over the world that had either settled or were visiting for a few years, I am glad you had some lovely experiences in England. I love visiting spain I will be going to Gibralter later this year.

  Hi everyone thanks for your comments keep them coming it's so interesting. My mum and dad said that when they served people at the hotel they used to fight over the American visitors because they were so generous warm and friendly of all the hotel guests their tips were the highest. My hubby loves westerns and would love to visit texas and buy a huge cowboy hat and cowboy boots. I would like to visit New York .

  Bonnie Clyde I have read most of her books over the years she had a hard life herself, thats why her books are so down to earth she drew from her own experiences. Did you read her autobiography? if not I recommend it. [a great read] as for sending messages I am just learning how to send E.Mails I have learnt how to PM when you have figured out the PMs let me know and i will send you my E.Mail address.

  Hi Bonnie clide I love Catherine Cookson too. My father was born in the north of England Sunderland Co.Durham, all his brothers worked in the coal mines my grandparents didn't want my father to work down the mines so they sent him to London when he was just l4 yrs old. He worked as a bell boy and eventually became a valet at the Dorchester Hotel valeting the wealthy rich and famous. My mother was a waitress there she was evacuated from Gibralter during the war. That's how they met. I was born in London.

  Sick little boy!

  my 10 year old grandson is in the hospital with really high blood pressure.

  he has a urinary tract blockage which is affecting his kidney function,which resulted in the high blood pressure.

  his dad, soonernc7 and his mom are with him now.

  Just had a yelling match with my JW mom....help

  she blames me for everything.

  i have a conversation with my sister (non jw) and the result is my fault.. i feel suicidal.

  i've never yelled at my mother and told her she was wrong..

  Hi Dianna I am sorry you are going through this. Don't let your mother control you, calm down and let your family see you are in control and that you are happy with your life. I wish I could turn back time my parents were very controlling if I dare mention what I wanted to do with my life outside watchtower world they would explode. My dad was a bully and used the org. to control us I ended up having a massive breakdown I let them control me even after I got married. I agree with Gayle to have love, joy peace for yourself first dont let your mum or family take away your joy or what you want to do with your life.

  Getting angry plays into their hands let them live their life and you live yours. How I wish I had this forum then with everyones support and advice. I wish you well Dianna and keep talking to us.

  Long Time No See!

  wow, it has been an age since i've been on here!

  for those of you who remember, i'm steph, dansk's daughter.. .

  it's been 18 months since he passed away and for some reason i am feeling it more now than i did at the time of his death.
