Hi loz I am so sorry you are still suffering, you've been through so much and losing your children to the Org. you are obviously still grieving, it must be hard for your husband to see you in pain. I hope the counselling helps you come to terms with what you have suffered and helps you move on. You are in me and my hubbies prayers.

A JW Student turned up in my Psychology Class yesterday!

i am a psychology teacher and yesterday a jw turned up in one of my groups.

this girl has a strong jw family (dad elder - mother mummy elder etc)!

i was friends with this girls sisters prior to fading!.

Reading the book George Orwell Nineteen Eighty Four did it for me. It was mind blowing it really hit me for six. So many things in that book woke me up to the way the Borg worked, the similarities were frightening. Perhaps you could recommend it to her to read.

Admit It: You Wanted to Be One of the 144,000!!

what do you think it takes to "qualify" to be one of the 144k?.

do you think it is just awarded for good behavior or does it have to be earned?

what do you think will be the duties of the 144k?.

Hubby and I used to shut off the Idea because we were told only those grafted in and annointed one had fallen away. Also you had to be quite a special person chosen by God with many years of service and experience. We never enjoyed reading the Gospels as we felt it was a letter to someone else. I remember a time I was studying the Gospels and reading more deeply at one point while pioneering I started to feel differently and being drawn so much more to the Lord and heavenly feelings, but pushed it back because of the brainwashing.

Now it all makes sense because the brainwashing stopped and we were free we read the Gospels and prayed for Gods Holy Spirit we saw the Bible more clearly and understood scriptures seeing them in a way we had never seen them before. You understand who the Holy Spirit is and means it indwells when you are born again and this is for everyone who believes and puts faith in Christ.

We felt at last we have come home and realised why we had felt unhappy all those years.

Petition against MadJW

i'd like to submit a motion that we no longer respond to posts posted by madjw.

he's using this forum to spam all of us into going to his wts defending website.

he also claims to be a regular pioneer and gets the majority of his time by posting on this site.

The funny thing is it was the JW apologists that shocked us all as a family and helped us wake up. The agression and the meaness took me aback. Also because of the debating everyone was putting links to info. that I had not seen and opened my eyes more than ever. I'm still finding stuff out even now. [Y.knot] and many others are always ready with so much info. at their fingertips.

And I noticed many others where saying the same thing so it always backfires on them anyway so I don't know why they bother. Eventually they will wake themselves up. Remember the guy [can't remember his name] who was an apologist and defending the doctrine of Jesus being Michael the Archangel. He ended up seeing the flaws in the doctrine and went on Rick Ferons phone in on 'six screens' he is now great friends with Rick.
