by Witness 007 inusa today everyone has a gun, why?.....to protect themselves...from who?
other folks with guns!.....yes it's in your laws...but they were written when the british ruled you.
one school gun killing every week does not happen anywhere else in the world....maybe you need more guns to protect your kids.....one in the lunchbox.....does anyone else see this.

Dang! Smart lady! Lots of folks would say the National Guard. But it can't be as it's a part of the US military, especially when we back door draft the poor bastards and then screw them on military benefits.

Atheism as a psychological phenomenon.
by BurnTheShips intheism in its various forms has been since the beginning subjected to psychological analysis and treated as a phenomenon of the human mind.
perhaps it is time to turn the lens and examine the psychological reasons for atheism as well.
this approach should be especially inoffensive to many atheists/materialists since in their worldview, all phenomena are reducible to natural causes.

OK, I know some GREAT x-tians, BTS. But the dichotomy is messed up. Unconditional love, and forgiveness, right? Unless you mouth of to an old man, and grizzly bears eat you. Or you spend you life busting your ass for god, and one little act of disrespect? Sorry, mo, no promised land for you. Say the wrong thing, Sorry Eli, your ass is grass. David? You messed up, you can live, great, but I'm gonna kill your newborn son. Saul? I guess you weren't the right guy for the job, time to fall on your sword. Jonathan? Wow, really great faithful guy guy, but sorry, can't have any fights over succession, so you have to die to. Lot? Wow, your wife effed up by taking a last look at her home. She croaks. But getting drunk and impregnating your daughters? Fine as frogs hair, buddy. JC? Son of mine? Well, guess what. I'm gonna send you to die horribly, condemn my people for the last thousand years to pogroms, beatings, pillaging's, etc. (even though I taught them for years that what you are saying is basically wrong, blasphemy, etc.)And guess what? Really, in the grand scheme of things, it won't change shit. Suffering will still happen, genocide, bombings, etc. But you showed them!! I guess we won't have to get part of our tallywhackers chopped and lowered if we don't want, and can eat bacon and lobster now ! Groovy!!

>>>>No, law will ever stop all criminals from comiting a crime, neither can the gun in the hand of the law abiding. <<<<
Bullshit!! How the fuck do cops stop criminals? How did that lady in the article stop a rapist from raping her a SECOND time? She shot his ass with a shotgun. And he died. What do you think he was trying to do, come over, break in and apologize and have tea and cookies? There was an angry boyfriend trying to break in a second story window to get and his girlfriend at my old house (I was away, no longer there she'd come to stay with my brother and his family out of fear of the guy, he'd just assaulted her the previous night)First, he tried to break in the bottom apt. that we rented out. Then He climbed on the awning trying to break in and kick his girlfriends ass or worse. There were three toddlers living here at the time, I might add, and we live at least 11 min from ANY law enforcement. My brother caught him trying to break in a window, and having heard the noise, had his gun in one hand and a phone in the other. He said "Man, I can either call in an attempted break in, or a shooting, your call." The guy jumped off and ran. Under the circumstances, w/ babies in the house, I almost think it would have been more prudent for my brother to have shot his ass.
I've been in other situations where guns have saved my life and stopped a criminal from committing a crime. I've also been jumped, beaten within an inch of my life, stabbed, etc. I'll take my chances with a gun in the future (legally, of course) thank you very much. I will not rely on a criminals "judgment" to decide he has beaten, stabbed, or hurt me enough and then leave. Many people in the anti-gun lobby seem to think they will," hey, they just want to rob me and hurt me a little." Sorry, I have a child to raise and support. You risk my life, yours is in serious fucking danger, and I will do what ever it takes within the law to defend myself. You want to assault me, jump me, sucker punch me, you've lost the right to a "fair" fight. -

Just do what his guy friends would do, whenever he complains about it, call him a pussy and flick him shit. Tell him to put on his man pants, because your going to give him a party, and reward him heartily afterward.

>>>Also, the increase in atheism in the West in recent decades seems to me to coincide closely with the outbreak of single-parent families, especially those where a father is not present or at least not around much.<<<<
Logical fallacy, bad correlation. You could chalk that up to a # of things. Plus, there are TONS of single full-time dads. I am one. My daughters Mom has seen her a grand total of 10 days in the last year. Us single dads just tend to fly under the radar. It's kind of like Breast cancer vs. Prostate cancer. The latter kills far more men every year than breast cancer does women. But gets less attention and far less funding.
