  after many, many years outside of the jw world, my elderly parents finally decided to give me an ultimatum.

  i either rejoin the jw's or they will never speak with me again.

  apparently my brother is going to get the same choice.

  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Yeah, someone wants to shun me, they don't get to talk to my kids, period. Extremely unhealthy example for little ones "Gee, I'll let Grandma and Grandpa shit all over me because they say I'm "bad" Meanwhile, I'll let them submarine me and tell my kids that I, and my kids by extension, will die a horrible death if I don't believe EXACTLY LIKE THEM!" Yeah, no effin way, over my dead body.

  There is a definite difference when the Americans sing "Hey Jude". Not just pronunciation but tonal quality as well.

  When your trained by a dialect coach, you learn that accents come from different places in the mouth. A scottish burr comes from pretty far back in the throat, a proper, clipped london accent comes from right around the teeth. Your typical midwestern/west coast american accent comes from somewhere in the middle.

  Unfortunately, just like being a JW, believing these things allows you to sit on your butt and not do anything to change the world.   several ex-elders, bethelites, ministerial servants, the rank and files of ex-jws on this site are writing about being stalked, harrassed, having their homes peeped through, car broken into while others such as gubberningbody, reports of recieving unsolicited calls from kh elders from another congregation.

  the numerous stories are very troubling.

  although some members have denied this existance of this lllegal activity, the underlying question continues to puzzle our minds: is wts behind stalking, espisonage and harrassment of ex-jws?
