by JG insince my wife has been attending meetings recently, and i have been going with her i have noticed a change.. i mentioned i thought it was weird that after the sun talk and before watchtower study they would announce the number of people who had attended and invite them to stay for the wt study.
since i mentioned this to an elder it has stopped.
i have never heard it again.

From what I understand You have to wear all natural cotton underwear after you are baptised. I have heard that it is only when you go to temple and I have heard that is all of the time I'm not positive as to what is 100% correct but I do know they have special stores to buy them in and places to order off of the net. So any LDS on here willing to give us the whole story.

I'm sorta in Mormon country and Jack mormon is a derogetory term used for people who are LDS but don't live the life. Jack mormons sometimes smoke drink don't wear the funny underwear etc. but still are LDS.

I mentioned I thought it was weird that after the sun talk and before watchtower study they would announce the number of people who had attended and invite them to stay for the WT study. Since I mentioned this to an elder it has STOPPED. I have never heard it again. Is this Normally done??
Also is there anything such as a Jack Witness? This is what my wife seems to be wanting to do. She went to the bar w/ me last weekend, bought me a birthday present atttends church with me when I go etc.

Comprehensive list of misquotes
by JG indoes anyone have or know of a "full and complete list of misquotations of the watchtower" if not would anyone like to help compile this list.
i'm sure that we could find someone who would host an article or paper on this subject.
i was thinking of a list or paper without any inflamatory wording or language that we could just hand to a jw and they would read without dismissing it as "full of hate" or appostate etc.

I suppose it's possible, you can sue over anything now a days. They could be sued for money or forced to print a retraction. If they had to retract the statements the would just claim to the R&F that it's a hoax and move on. Right now I'm feeling pretty down and just care about getting my family out intact. I realize it's pretty selfish and that there are millions more out there, but I'll try to help them after I'm done with trying to help my family.

i told her sure i'll discuss them with you, but i get equal time to discuss problems with your religion.. to make a short story long she agreed but she wants me to discuss important things things i fear may put her in jeapordy spiritually.

If Jesus' name is the one name by which humankind is to attain to salvation and Jesus obeyed the Law Covenant perfectly and thus obeyed the commandment to honor his MOTHER and Father, why cannot humankind also honor Jesus' mother? Despite my run-on sentence , this is an argument a Catholic Bible student of mine once gave me, and I saw no way to refute her logic.
Not Marian Worship in it's self. Actually I don't believe in Marian WORSHIP , I have no problem with showing respect to and asking her to intercede for me but there is only one you should worship. It's actually others who say we worship mary and that's a whole different thing. Never the less I like you and don't want you to dislike me because you think I might be a WTmole or whatever.

How's stuff in KC? You are getting a little paranoid hun. I've talked to you in chat before and you can look over my old posts I am completely legit, I am who I am, I am to tired to play little games and games aren't my thing. i havn't been in religious studies since CCD in highschool. err 14 years ago. But honestly it maybe that it's such a basic teaching that noone discuss' it (the theory aformentioned) In my web searches I have done that isn't anything I have seen discussed. Ahh well take it or leave it. What do I care.

She just faded away, we were dating and there were lots of whispers and a visit by the elders and then she just faded out.
Last summer she was considering joining the Catholic church and prayed for guidence and lo and behold a JW shows up a week later AHHH A SIGN FROM GOD! like they wern't in my neighborhood every 6 weeks anyway. I think 9-11 had something to do with it too.
Anyway I'm your kinda Catholic, I think everyones personal relationship with god is the most important. I even volunteered to go as a family to a non-denom church and I could recieve the Eucharist on my own time. I think that a family has to have a common religious background something to share, some kind of unity.
Also officially the church feels that if you believe in Christ and are a good person you're O'tay. Don't worry I don't judge anyone That's not my Job.Outnfree, In all of my studies of mary and all that that's the first time I had heard of that theory on Mary.

I'm Catholic my wife is a born-in JW, she was away from the dub for 12 years, now she's back and blah blah blah.Larc. I'm not sure that is the one to go with unless I go about it as trying to show that the GB are not speaking for God and then let her push and try to prove it and then drop the failed predictions on her twords the end.
