  Give me some examples of 'good lawyers'.

  for some strange reason when i previously asked to give me examples of how evil attorneys are and then reworded to give me examples of evil lawyers, many misinterpreted that i was labeling all lawyers as evil.

  i simply asked a question.

  i did not state or imply anything.. now, without labeling all lawyers as good, what examples do you have of 'good lawyers'?.

  Going out with a bang

  after much deliberation, i decided to go "out" at the end of a public talk.

  it didn't go down too well, but at least i was able to give some of my reasons for leaving.. i've put some of the details on my homepage.

  Getting my first tattoo

  well on wednesday i am going to be getting my first tattoo.

  i have had this particular piece of art that i have wanted for years but was too afraid to put it to skin as it will require a great amount of detail.

  but i finally decided to go for it.

  Good for you. After you've given thought to what you want, as mentioned and as you stated, you are checking the artist. See if he or she have done any 'cover up' tats. See the art work for them. If anyone can do a cover up and it turns out good, they are truly an artist. See the ink. Now, ink can last for a long time. After you get your tat, don't use soap with any additives, just pure as Dove. After it has healed, use a cream like Aveno that has no additives either. Stay out of the sun with it and it will last forever. I tried to post mine, however, could not figure out how to do from my desktop folder. Mine still look great and I'm well over 60yrs. Excercise helps too.

  As far as the scripture the WTBTS tries to dump on us from Leviticus 19:28, those comenting here should do as the Boreans did.....RESEARCH!. Oh, yeah, the WTBTS does not want us to do that. Here is the true meaning of that scripture:

  The word translated tattoo in is the Hebrew word "qa aqa" which only appears 1x in the entire Bible. It literally means "to cut". This would have been a form of branding, scarring, cutting with designs for the dead. Somewhere along the way, ink was added to the surrounding branding which endorsed this as cult practice. The true meaning of the word is not exactly known, however, the prohibition against "qua aqa" was to keep the israelites from being involved with cult worship. Tattoo's of today are much different for those in the Pentateuch. In our current culture many people do things that change their appearance, hair color, wild finger nails, etc. DO you know any sisters that have permanant eye liner or any sisters that had to experience the terrible procedure of a mastectomy and have their areola's colored in? Both are tattoos. So is one O.K. to do and not the other?

  And of course, didn't Jesus come to do away with the law? The WTBTS cherry pick the scriptures. If they are going to use Leviticus than ALL what is written in the Hebrew Scriptures should be applied in JW's lives.

  JW businessman's email about the UN and false religion

  i was shown a hard copy of an email from a purported jw businessman who claimed he had contact with some un officials as part of his 'business'.

  in conversation, he claimed that he blurted out and asked them when they were going to clamp down on religion as foretold in jw prophecy.

  according to the account, the un official acted startled, and asked 'how do you know?'.

  Greetings,

  as Balaamsass stated, these properties were used for 'special' guests and families. Many of the properties were purchased, not by the WBTS, but by a group of brothers that were involved with 'Mighty Auto Parts', and purchased under a corp or group named; CoHi. It represented Columbia Heights.

  If anyone recalls how 'Mighty Auto Parts" grew by franchising to many brothers and the originators became super wealthy and than sold out. However my quesions is; 'how come the courts are allowing these sales'? Recall the case of Candace Conti ?

  "By order of the Superior Court of the State of California of Alameda, until the Watch Tower's appeal, which won't begin until August and will take up to two years to settle due to due process of law, has forbidden the Watch Tower to sell any more of it's Billions in assets."   they've cut back their number of branch locations from 217 to 198 in the past year.

  they've installed credit card machines at assemblies and conventions.

  they've cut back on the number of pages in the watchtower and awake magazines (from 32 to 16).

  WTBS and Appealing a Civil Judgement

  in light of the candice conti civil trial against the wtbs and the pro-jehovah's witness/apologist comments posted on various news websites, i thought i would give a simplified explanaition of what is involved in appealing the outcome of a trial in the courts of the united states.. a trial, whether criminal or civil, usually ends with a verdict rendered by a jury.

  in a criminal case the verdict is guilty or not guilty.

  that same jury may decide the punishment in the event of a guilty verdict.. in a civil case a jury must decide based on the evidence whether the defendant is guilty of damaging the plaintiff.

  The attorney for Candice Conti was on a call with Six Screens and answered many questions. You can listen to it, in the archives even though it was only last week. I can't understand why this is not all over the T.V. news. Erin Burnet (Out Front) made a comment about the Catholic Church and sexual abuse just the other evening. Does anyone know why this story is being hidden?

  I don't understand why this is not posted/plastered all over the AP wires. Eric Burnett spoke about the sexual abuse the other night

  for the Catholic Church. This should be huge.
