Well I have been an Anglophile since I could read, and a lover of the Scots since I read Nigel Tranter years ago and many others since. In the modern world, I can't even imagine the idea of "secession". It seems a bit romantic.
Not to mention, that I am FINALLY going to the UK next year, and wondering about what might change re money, rail/transport, etc.

Great Music
by Berengaria init appears that many of the best music threads have been purged.
i can't imagine the formula that would eliminate such wonderousness while preserving "involuntary muscular contractions", but so it is.. the first offering.

EBOLA -why should America take the lead in handling it?
by hamsterbait inmillions have died in africa from civil wars where the governments have squandered money on bombs guns and tanks, whilst allowing millions more to die of malaria, diarrhoea and other treatable diseases.
thousands more have died in nigeria from religious killing than ebola.. and now big bad america is the one they all turn to (in mainly muslim countries) to save them, just like kuwait did in 1991.
(condemned after for their interference).

Who has pissed on this effort???
Razziel is exactly correct. Not only is this our problem considering the global nature of the world, but we are capable. It's time our bloated military was used for something meaningful.
I think Hamsterbait enjoys stirring up the natives.
