Simple, the same kind of mentality and culture that would allow so-called righteous men to offer their young women for rape, and the place in society that women AND young girls were saddled with, it just shows that some simple-minded men came up with this stuff and the "Ten Commandments" had nothing to do with God...

did anyone catch the study 2 weeks ago when in one of the later paragraphs dealing with jehovah blessing his earthly organization, they actually admitted that jehovah had punished his earthly org in 1919?
i thought that was very interesting because usually the society would not even bring that up?
but it also brings up the point "what would prevent jehovah from disciplining his "earthly org" now for various wrong views and actions?.

No doubt most dubs will buy it, but the whole world can see how progressively ludicrous their thinking becomes. If you believe that "Jehovah" is using his "Holy Spirit" to direct his earthly organization, which is what the JWs have been told decade after decade in Society publications, then you can't possibly believe that he is so impotent that he can't stop insane policies from lasting for years needlessly only to be suddenly reversed - and in the case of organ transplant doctrine which produced a DOUBLE flip-flop. Is that what you call "Meat in DUE season? There are lots of examples where changes certainly didn't come about in DUE season; alternative service, blood fractions, organ transplants, vaccinations. Now, if policy regarding pedophiles results in "New LIght", that'll be another example of needed changes that arrived WAY TOO LATE to be of any good to those that have already been victimized. Not very TIMELY for an organization that claims to be spirit directed.

I looked inside the front and back covers to see if there was any of the typical scribbling that dubs do in their books/bibles,etc. All I found was "Chord C" written on the inside cover...wonder if that was for some KINGDUMB melody he doodled once during a boring meeting

yesterday was my birthday.
i got greetings from a number of friends from here in atlanta and also from people who had never met me from around the world since my birthday announcement was carried on a couple of the central bear pages on the internet.. there is clearly no prohibition against birthdays in the bible.
the reason the watchtower prohibits birthday celebrations is the same reason they discourage college, extracurricular activities in school, etc.

Headquarters will no doubt use parts of an article like this to feed the persecution complex mill. What they will fail to include will other quotes from the article such as...
