  i wish i knew what it was like to have an unconditionally loving mother.

  i know she loves me and cares about me, but only within her narrow wt spectrum.

  if i do not meet her narrow expectations, i am a failure to her.

  It sounds like something my mother would write to me. Yes it is very sad that these people are conditioned to measure spirituality based on the number of meetings attended and the number of hours written on a small piece of paper.

  The religion also shames parents of ones who fall away or choose to do less for the religion. This is perhaps why your mom is acting this way. She is starting to feel the shame and is projecting it on you. Shit flows downhill!

  long story short - i need to go to bed!

  i was in edinburgh today with my wife (football, coffee, walks, food, cinema) and i always try to take 10 minutes to have a chat with the jws on the trolley in the "big city".. i challenged an older guy who turned out to be an pioneer about the generation.

  I think I've said this before They should have stuck with the 1995 generation teaching that it meant the wicked other than invent this overlapping nonsense. Another option would have been to scrap 1914, cut their losses and move on.

  A "body of elders" or really one main guy?

  the wts promotes the idea of congregations being managed by a body or elders who all follow their rules and so are in full agreement with how things should be done.. was your hall like this?.

  out hall was a constant battlefield for power between a couple of elders and their families - relatives that had been promoted to various positions.

  it wasn't some hidden secret, it was blatant and obvious.

  Are Parents Who Shun Their Children At Risk?

  who looks after the welfare of ageing witness parents who have disfellowshipped children?

  are these df'd children (actually, some of these df'd children are in their 60's) meant to ignore being ignored and then care physically for their non speaking parents?

  also, can df'ing your own children lead to witness parents suffering illness or even death as a result?.

  I know an older couple who shunned both of their dfd children in a harsh manner as per watchtower direction. When they couldn't look after themselves anymore their children wouldn't help and neither would the congregation.

  in the april 15th watchtowerstudy ed why is the article about how loving dissfellowshipping is curiously missing from simplified addition ?

  A few months back or perhaps longer( time flies) there was an article about reaching out to be elders in the study edition that was omitted from the simplified version. I guess they don't want simpletons to reach out.

  I've been to a fair amount of live shows over the years (10-20). The mrs and I went to les mis a couple of months back and despite all of the hype it wasn't that great of a show IMO

  Same as what cappytan said.

  If I was going to take a project like this on it would have to be individual tracks to see what could be done then remixed and mastered.

  Devouring the Forbidden Fruit - Higher Education

  well, i told my wife over the weekend i was going to go back school to finish my degree.

  she is 100% supportive of it!

  apparently she doesn't think higher education is so evil either.. since my former major was computer programming and that was in the late 1990's, i was told i'd have to retake a bunch of classes since times have changed.
