my family and i were driving through a suburb of st. louis, missouri this afternoon on the way back to illinois and home.
i took a back road through a bedroom community and ended up on a 2 lane road that led me right past the last kingdom hall i attended in 2007 before i left for good.

After 2 years my parents make contact. The end result is that I promise them to cryogenically preserve ONLY their heads

i was told by my parents from the start that i would never speak to them until i returned to jehovah dog.
a few months later they told people they hoped i died before the end came, then all of this culminating in them telling my inactive / fading sister that they don't consider me a child anymore and they have given me up to satan.

She proceeds to tell me that because I am doing well financially I feel i no longer need Jehovah, but it didn't matter because Satan would take everything away from me ;as quickly as it was given.
this sums up the real reason she called. She wants financial support from you.

My parents shun me because I don't do as much as they think I could be doing in "the truth". I am an embarrassment to them I think. They can't tell their friends how "spiritual" I am.

the culture within the organization dictates to all young male jehovah's witnesses that unless you are an elder, you will not get the sultry, passionate- brunette, the voluptuous, curvaceous,- blond, or the seductive, erotic, red headed-vamp..
so unaware of the social forces that are shaping your mind, you succumb to the dictum issued by the governing body to conform to the structure already in place- if you want to be successful.

I was an ms years ago. I stepped down because basically the PO was bullying me. I didn't recognize it at the time though.
Ive been asked twice since then to be an ms but turned them down both times.
Now I really don't attend that regularly and don't do much field service so they don't ask anymore.

Our hall is asking for money...
by thedepressedsoul ini guess the branch isn't happy with the amount being sent each month since we are way lower than our loan amount.
we now have to another financial survey to see the max amount that can be given.
it is "encouraged" for all to be in attendance and give much forethought and consideration to the amount you can donate each month.

I don't subsidize millionaires(billionaires). They don't need any more of my hard earned money so they can live in a mansion by the lake.

Booklet exposing Trinity Brochure
by Pubsinger inthere was a booklet that exposed the errors, deceptions and misquotes in the trinity brochure.
i think it was called something like "why should you believe 'should you believe the trinity'" or something like that lol.
it went through the society's brochure page by page, quote by quote and gave full sources etc.. does anyone know if it's still available, preferably an online copy?.

Passive aggressive circuit overseer talk
by hoser ini went and listened to the circuit overseer talk last night.
he started off by saying how many jws are in prisons in other countries and how we need to be prepared for when we are persecuted by the governments because it will happen "soon".
near the end of the talk he got into how our own minds often imagine the very worst case scenario and that this isn't good.
